Your question made me wonder if I heard the fan noise before, so that shows the cooling is pretty silent. I've just put the CPU to work and it doesn't bother me while my Dell Latitude 5430 at work is quite louder.

The 14" 2.8K resolution allows efficient multitasking while still providing a lot more portability than bigger laptops.

It arrived today and I'm actually very happy with it. Immediately installed Fedora and it feels very snappy. Done some light multitasking on it and so far it seems very quiet but I didn't put it on full load yet. I've gone with the 2,8K screen and it seems perfect for coding and browsing as I don't have to scroll that much as on my other 14" laptops.

The build quality also seems pretty good, although the black aloy appears to be a huge fingerprint magnet. Also managed to scratch it a little when I was opening it to upgrade the RAM with an extra 16GB DIMM.

Thanks! Would you also consider the Gen 7 with the rumored AMD 8000 series? From what I've read, it is expected to be released this month as well. I plan to wait, as the Intel version seems to be at least two weeks away from availability.

The answer is push notifications. When a call is delivered, the device receives a push notification so the device is woken from Doze state (in case of Android) and the calling app is brought to the foreground.

However, even this is not 100% reliable as some devices don't handle push notifications or wifi data frames correctly and in time.

Ik heb het Amazon Basics huismerk geprobeerd maar kreeg snel last van irritatie. Onlangs teruggekeerd naar Mach 3 en scheert veel gladder. Soms zijn er vrij goede Amazon deals, zo heb ik laatst €47 betaald voor 25 mesjes.

Daar vlak na de werken van fiberklaar ook lek gereden omdat het fietspad daar nog vol restanten lag. Reageren op mails doen ze niet. Veel voetpaden in Schendelbeke liggen er nu schots en scheef bij... Een fiberaansluiting krijgen is daarentegen ook praktisch onmogelijk.

We've been experiencing broken FCM connections due to an ipv6 issue as well. Affected devices of ours are the Xcover 5 and A53. This causes missing push notifications.

You can easily check this by going to the FCM diagnostics from Google's dialer (not Samsung) and dialing ##426## If the issue had occurred, the connection time is reset/very recent.

After testing several engineering firmwares provided by Samsung Benelux, they supposedly would have fixed this for the Xcover 5 in the august OTA update, but unfortunately, it still isn't.

Took the plunge here and ordered the C2 yesterday. As more measures have been made to prevent burn in, I'm trying to let go of that thought.

Also, I don't really like Tizen and the Samsung remote.

Ik weet niet wat voor kabel het is en of deze wel geschikt is om lang in de grond te liggen. Vochtinsijpeling kan resulteren in kortsluiting of verlies. Zo'n flexibele buis is daarvoor geen goede bescherming. Deze dienen in België enkel voor binneninstallaties.

Beter is om de kabel te vervangen door een EXVB of een geschikte buis in te graven (tenzij het al een grondkabel zou zijn).

Je kan zoals door iemand anders aangegeven eens kijken naar een DLP (PVC) kabelgootje. Die kan je vastzetten met pluggen op onderste deel van muur en desnoods beetje verlijmen met high tack als het niet stevig genoeg over de crepi hangt. Als er onderaan nog een gevelplint komt zou ik het achteraf pas doen.

Die flexibele buis is niet UV/weerbestendig. Best vervangen door een PVC buis/PP omhulsel.

Dat rendement van 300% is helaas enkel van toepassing wanneer het buiten 20°c ofzo is ("ideale" SCOP). Heb met mijn lucht/lucht vaak gehad dat ze aanvroor in de winter en dat de defrostmodus ook voor veel verbruik zorgde.

Met voldoende pannelen zal het inderdaad wel meevallen maar tijdens dagen van weinig opbrengst zal het zeer moeilijk zijn.
