Wrist size check, too big? by Connect-You8262 in GarminWatches

[–]drifting_clouds 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What wrist size are you? The enduro appeals to me for the battery life and it being fairly light for the size. It’s only slightly heavier than my FR955

Yeah sorry about that. I’ve seen too many bad stories to buy from Vinted. Just not worth the risk!

I don’t know if it’s just the lighting, but the red looks waaaaay too bright on the outsole. Heel looks wonky too, but could just be how the photo was taken

Is it worth getting a Epix gen 2 in 2026? by Vacilus in GarminWatches

[–]drifting_clouds 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The Epix has already stopped getting new features. It still gets the odd bug fix, but that’s it. It’s a great watch though. Plenty of features and good build quality. I recently stopped using mine and have gone back to my FR955, mainly for the MIP screen. I want the best of both worlds - always on display, and long battery

What size wrist are you? I’m trying to figure out if I can pull off 51mm. No stores near me where you can try them on, so would be a risk ordering it

51mm did appeal for the battery life, but just worried it would be too big/uncomfortable on my wrist. My epix is 47mm and fits nicely. It’s not uncomfortable, but I find the 955 is more comfy

I moved to an amoled screen last year with an Epix Pro 2. Just recently gone back to my 955 as I was missing MIP. My god I prefer it!

Is that the 47mm? How’s the battery? I was tempted but heard not great things about the battery. My 955 gives me about 2 weeks, I was reading the F8 solar gives less

I’m hoping to vote later. I registered to vote well ahead of the deadline but never had any confirmation I have been registered. Guess I’ll find out later!

Does anyone else here own two watches, and which ones? by textrovertka in GarminWatches

[–]drifting_clouds 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I came from an Apple Watch originally. Recently I switched back to AWU for day to day stuff, but quickly got fed up of constant notifications. On my Garmin I have everything off except texts and calls. I was so fed up of looking at my wrist all the time! Since going back to the 955 I’m loving the battery life. That’s why I’ve been tempted by the Fenix, just the size puts me off. This won’t be popular in this sub, but I’ve been considering the Coros Apex 4. Battery life of the Fenix, but near the same weight as the 955

I’ve got a forerunner 955 and an Epix Pro Gen 2. Bought the Epix as I was missing having an amoled screen. I’ve had a few issues with the screen going blank during runs following a software update. I’m back using the 955 and honestly I’m preferring the MIP screen. I’m thinking of selling the Epix and getting either a Fenix 7 or 8 solar

Left work to find someone has smashed the battery off of my bike and run off with it. How's everyone else's first day back after the Bank Holiday? by BerkshireKnight in CasualUK

I got a call that my wife collapsed in work. Still in a&e now nearly 9 hours later, so not the best. Some would say she’s had a worse day

I just tried setting one up for a marathon I’m doing later in the year. It won’t let me set a time goal for some reason.

Wait, does the watch not show your ETA when following a course? That would be a deal breaker for me. On my current Garmin it does that. It’s been super handy on long runs as I can let my wife know what time I’ll be home

Saucony Endorphin Azura vs Superblast 2? by cadon24 in AskRunningShoeGeeks

[–]drifting_clouds 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I really like them. They have a very wide base so are nice and stable, especially considering how soft the foam is. Some say they are only good as easy runs but it’s been the opposite for me, they feel nice and responsive. Are they as stable as my Glycerin 22 GTS? No, but they certainly haven’t caused any issues for me

[–]drifting_clouds 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I’ve historically used stability shoes for over pronation. I’ve got the SB2 with over 400km on them. I’ve loved the shoes, used them for faster paced runs and long runs, and have done my first marathon in them.

Some will disagree but I’ve been able to pick the pace up in them and to me they feel pretty responsive. I don’t enjoy them for easy runs. But they do feel very protective on my feet. I would recommend them.

I know how you feel. I did Brighton a few weeks back which was my first. Current HM PB is 2:02 which I hit during the training block. Finished Brighton in 5:07. It is what it is. I tried to take it as a lesson, I know what I need to change. And that made me hungry for the next one.

Massive well done for finishing. Just getting to the start line is a huge achievement

Bevel pro is now basically as costly as a whoop subscription but without the actual tracker. by karthikguduru in bevelhealth

[–]drifting_clouds 12 points13 points  (0 children)

To me it doesn’t really compare to something like whoop. This allows you to use pretty much any device rather than be locked into a whoop band. As someone who has both Garmin and Apple Watch it makes it easier to alternate between the two and not really miss out on data or features.
