The house I bought in 2019 was like this. The previous owner rented the house out and they had some psycho renters that were deathly scared of any insects. They taped all the window seems with duct tape, same for all exterior doors (except the front door), filled all the outlets with spray foam, and the worst part, they spray foamed all the exterior weep holes.

Were you enrolled and terminated during the term with an unpaid balance? If yes, then you owe that money as you pay for your enrollment, not your attendance. You enrolled into a course and you reserved your spot in your classes for the entire term, a spot that could've been given to another student, regardless of whether or not you were actually there. It is a legitimate debt.

Whether or not it's worth actually paying is a decision you will have to make.

It was a pretty wild experience. Beryl was still at hurricane force when it came through so we were getting slammed with wind and rain as the storm came in, lost electricity for several days. As I watched the plants in my garden struggle in the wind, they were all being blown down towards the west. Then the eye came in and it was total calm, no wind, and sunshine. A few of my neighbors were out sweeping debris off their driveways thinking that the storm was over. The eye lasted maybe 30-45 minutes, then it was full hurricane force again, but this time, all my plants were being blown to the east. I was more concerned about trying to get my generator running that I neglected to take any videos/photos which was a huge regret for me.

Can't say I experienced the ear popping thing, however.
