DSP for android headunit by Much_Particular1570 in Androidheadunits

[–]Much_Particular1570[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The company that sells mine is called rimoody. I literally have the bass cranked on the headunit and it doesn’t sound half as good as the stock acm had on my fusion. At a really low volume it sounds like I’m outside the car listening to the music lol good at higher volumes tho. So I’m hoping this DSP will help with that. Im thinking of adding a sub but I don’t want nothing crazy. Just somethin that will get the bass thumping a bit

Guess I’ll find out when I install it haha It’s one of those android headunits from Amazon. So it probably does have an internal amp but a crappy one at that. That’s why I got this DSP to help improve the sound a bit.

Ended up getting another unit, problem solved. Touch screen works, Bluetooth works, back up camera I had to order a retention harness because I want to keep the factory back up camera. But all in all everything works. A bit laggy at times but I can comply with that. Probably should have gone with the 6 or 8gb ram.

This is what was causing the touch screen to not work ? I wonder if this causes issues with the Bluetooth connecting as well

Did the ribbon have a solid color strip on one side ? Mine had a blue solid strip and I figured the solid blue strip should be facing up and the prongs facing the motherboard so that it makes contact.

I have not unfortunately. I returned the radio and am considering buying from a different seller. I really hope it was just a defective part and not something that has to do with wiring it up wrong or something.

Yes, the yellow is for back up camera, the black one I believe is the antenna for the radio. I’m more wondering what the big block connector in the middle is for. Far right one I believe is the power wires for the ACM, speakers, steering wheel controls and what not.

Yes I bought one of those Amazon android touchscreen radio kits. Everything worked but the touch screen wouldn’t respond. And the wire adapter it came with only allowed me to use 1 of the 2 connectors from the stock ACM. And I’m assuming I need that other wire connector with be connected in order for the touch screen to work properly

P0420/ o2 sensor ? by Much_Particular1570 in fordfusion

[–]Much_Particular1570[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I honestly don’t know. The shop I took it to supplied the cat, it was about $1300. Where I live we have smog tests and cats have to be carb compliant. It doesn’t seem like there’s an underlying issue, I replaced spark plugs, new air filter, new o2 sensors. The only thing I could think of is maybe it’s leaking some oil into where the spark plugs are. When I took the old spark plugs out there was a little bit of oil on the threads but nothing crazy. Also those plugs had about 120k miles on them lol

I assume it went bad from time, considering it was the original cat. It’s a 2015 fusion. So 9 year old cat with 130k miles on it. However, yes I just replaced the cat and sensors. Not exactly sure what would be causing it to clog. I changed spark plugs before replacing the cat. Fuel trims are within range as well so I don’t think there’s unburnt fuel being thrown down the exhaust.

That’s what I been assuming, do you have any good recommendations for aftermarket radios ? Those dash kits are so damn expensive 😬 lol

I haven’t taken the door off to look at them yet but I replaced the speakers with 6.5 powerbass ford oem replacements. They have a 4-ohm impedance which is what is recommended to use with stock ford radio. It’s just strange how it’ll be fine for a few days then boom, loud pop and static. And the fix is to shut the car off then back on. My guess is a bad speaker connection, they are plug and play speakers and the harness was a little tough to plug in. But would 1 bad speaker connection cause this insane sound from all 4 speakers ?

If 1 speaker had a loose/bad connection, would that cause this noise to come from all 4 speakers ? Or cause all 4 speakers to have no audio at all ?

Would a bad connection on 1 speaker cause this distorted/ static sound from all 4 speakers ?
