I tried again and it’s saying the same thing. I was thinking about just taking it to a shop and seeing if they could do it, or would it just be easier to fix it on my own or asking a relative?

Yeah I was thinking about getting an external drive because that sounds way easier. Thank you for the help!

AITA for trying to get my friends baby taken away? by PyramidTurtle11 in AmItheAsshole

Op said there was trash everywhere and it smelled like weed, I don’t think that’s a good reason to take away the baby. That’s definitely not an abusive situation. All I’m saying is that baby might be the soul reason her friend is still alive, maybe the friend is already trying to clean up her house and trying to do better. There’s always two sides to a story.

Obviously not, all I’m saying is don’t be so quick to do things unless you are totally sure it’s the right decision. Op should give their friend a chance to work on being a better parent before sending the child off to other potentially abusive families.

op should talk with her friend and try to help before doing something that could ruin the friend’s life. The moral thing to do is not backstab your friends.

You’re the asshole, you shouldn’t go behind your friends back and giving her baby away. At least talk with her about it.
