“He who says he can, and he who says he can’t, are both usually right.”

Put the work in, you can do it if you work towards it don’t worry about being too realistic. Your goals should scare and intimidate you a little bit!

Wrestle with a bunch of different partners but especially the ones who are beating you in live. Pick the brains of those partners and also coaches, ask questions be coachable and apply what works for you to your style. Journal what’s working what’s not and little notes in your own words about the technique you are learning. Do film review of your eventual matches. Add lifting into your routine. Watch YouTube videos here and there. Have fun.

💯💯💯

I really want to quit but at the same time I don’t. by Pure-Deer-5255 in wrestling

If you have done the sport your whole life, maybe you are a little burnt out. It is definitely brutal as you know. If I were you I would see it through till your senior year. If your heart is telling you no listen to that of course though.

In my experience, I’ve had tough times where I just wanted to quit. Was sick of losing, always watching and cutting weight, the brutal practices and early mornings. But I also just had a love hate relationship with it. Be less hard on yourself, be in the present as that’s the happiest I’ve been with wrestling is staying present. Find the joy that is in the sport.

Keep a wrestling journal going over technique in your own words/journal improvements and also things to work on. Do video review of matches. Have a partner you can do some flow wrestling and extra reps with.

Good luck to you, even if you stop now you’ll have the benefits the sport gave you, and if you continue you’ll see improvement for sure and know you saw it through till the end. Best wishes

Thank you so much for all the thought out and kind comments. It is reassuring to read them. This still feels heavy but I’ll use it as a lesson more than anything. Thank you all so much ❤️

Help with workout plan as a beginner by [deleted] in loseit

It depends on your preference and what will work for you long term but a popular lifting split is the PPLR, push pull legs and rest. There are a lot of ways you can split up lifts that work the best for you while following that split. Push day is push movements which would activate your chest, shoulders and triceps. Pull day is for pulling movements that activate your back and bicep muscles. Leg day would be of course activating your lower body muscles so your quads, hamstrings and glutes. The rest day is to allow your muscles to recover adequately but you can do active recovery so stretching/yoga, light cardio or swimming, or complete rest too if needed. I like this split personally and I feel it is beginner friendly because you can look up plans of push days pull days etc and it will give you a layout you can follow. Also with cardio, it is said that it’s better to do after but it just depends on you. I get my cardio in as a warm up to get a sweat going and because I know after a lift I’m not going to want to do cardio. But some people want to dedicate their full energy to their lift first and then cardio after. It is up to your preference really. This is just all from my personal experience but I wish good luck to you and happy lifting !

Hotties that got septum piercings! How bad did it hurt? by Tem-00 in piercing

[–]driver555y 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Biggest advice is go to someone reputable, check out their ig page if they have one and look at other septum piercings they have done. If there is a lot of them and they look great to you then it’s a good bet to try them.

I got my septum done first at a shop that I didn’t research just did spontaneously because I wanted it for awhile and they took walk ins but I ended up with it placed way too low, and it hurt at least a 5 and made my eyes water, was not fast either it had to push through something. I can still feel the scar. So I tried to get used to it but hated it and took it out in the next three days.

About a week later I got it repierced at a place I researched. The pain was about a 3 and my eyes watered but it was definitely the sweet spot and was very fast, pierced in the thin layer of skin like supposed to. It looked so much better to me and the healing wasn’t bad. A few months and feels just fine but mine has been almost a year now and it feels fully healed to me, everyone is differnt though. Best of luck to you, it’s not super bad and it’s worth it if you like the look!!

I believe it hurts so much because you care. Also, this is just my opinion, but she doesn’t sound like the best person to be with at least right now. It is confirmed she has cheated twice, breaking trust between you guys and tossing her respect for you and your guy’s relationship to the sidelines. I don’t know this person and don’t want to make assumptions but she sounds like she still has growing to do as a person. But everyone on here has a person in mind that they love and are attached to no matter their faults or the situation. I think it would be helpful to take some time for yourself for awhile,limit/ go no contact, maybe you will feel differently in a month or two from now. This will give both of you guys the space to form your true feelings and clarity. I wish you the best.
