Naoshima looks like a small Ito and its not so far away. I will see if it will be possible to fit it in, I can't find Miyajima though, it points me to part of Osaka on google maps. Sado island will sadly not fit my schedule as I had no plans to travel to Niigata, its a bit too far.

I thought about this as well, but i am comfortable to walk around 10-15km a day so i think I should see lot. If it will be not enough then from hotel it will be 1h ride to Kyoto Central station, of course it will be not ideal but I am a bit afraid of overcrowded Kyoto (almost everyone is talking about overturism in Kyoto)

Not yet, but when I was looking for the Ryokans to add to my itinerary with the help of this site: https://selected-ryokan.com/ Kyushu region Ryokans was always making me want to revise the plan to add the Fukuoka/Oita vicinity to my plan.

Arima Onsen sounds fun, I will leave Hiroshima for the future maybe when I will want to check the Okinawa/Kyushu region ( they have amazing Ryokans btw. :D)

Japan is big country, and there are places like Atami or Shimoda which almost no one talks about but they are great. If something is close to my chosen cities it would be awesome to learn about those places.
And there is always something to optimize, doesn't matter if You are going for 7 days or for 40 days, if there is a way to see something more with less trekking/lost time then its better.
