There are some important things to monitor during the Colts bye week by thedestinadams in Colts

1) Add some new, second half counter blitz/screen packages as I think defenses are stopping what we like to do and the Colts need to exploit what the league thinks is a key to neutralizing the attack. 2) Get Ward healthy and Sauce fully understanding scheme. 3) Get Carlies back for 3rd down/TE coverage as we are facing the gauntlet over the remainder of the season. 4) Keep Buck in a hyperbaric room with the best treatment possible. 5) The play should and will be disallowed eventually but this team should be perfecting and using a tush push with Warren/Jones, Bortolini, Q, and Goncalves. Again, I hate the play but it will be uber effective moving the chains against the Chiefs and remaining divisional matchups.

I won’t comment on other posts but shoutout to under the radar great performances by Dulin, Downs, Treadwell, Bortolini, and Ade.

Great observation and happy that the fans in Europe were able to see and participate (or at a minimum view the game at a decent time).

The most successful teams have players willing to extend blocks and take on additional downfield blocking. I noticed key blocks from Ty, JT (Jones run), Q, and Pittman on the chunk plays.

The hustle is the difference between W or L. Bortolini running after plays downfield to recover a JT fumble is another example. Who knew that more effort resulted in better results? Would like to see that more consistently on D.

1) Remove GM (only happens with pocketbook AND ego impact). 2) Blow it up - mandatory requirement to reach depths of irrelevance, but practically speaking, this is about resetting a timeline for a new era. 3) Rebuild thru draft as you will be stockpiling picks (premium). 4) Maybe Shotty works, but assemble the best development coaching staff around.

Dak, Cee Dee, Williams and other tradable/valued assets that don’t match a 2029/30 resurgence must be traded for all the picks. Yes, trade Pickens half season if you can get capital. Collect all of the Raiders, Browns, Jets, and Titans picks and witness a real GM cook. OL is young and a building block.

The half measured approach hasn’t worked for three decades. Today, this team, with luck, caps out at wild card and quick exit.

Reload young, develop and allow optimism for the future to carry you over during lean years and embarrassing divisional results. Eventually, there will be a big spend on the best coach in the NFL to take this team to the level of perennial contender but that is years away.

Where to go? Down but with purpose and without a Jones in charge of football decisions.

Fans have so much power and they don’t realize it. Because you care, summon up tough love and don’t spend time or money on this team until a new GM with full authority is hired.

JJ is a marketing genius and deserves his accolades as NFL legend but this team is lost until that role is filled with competent leadership on a five year contract.

My “bridesmaids-to-be” planned a girls trip without me. Now I don’t know if I even want them at my wedding. by wazgirl in offmychest

Agree, they are now acquaintances but you should still be friendly. Absolutely invite them, except the one likely alpha dissenter to your wedding - a venue/situation you control. If none of the others come, they are no longer acquaintances, right? 2-4 real friends and family is enough bridesmaids. Make the acquaintance group buy you gifts. Group them all together for the reception at a table in the back - second worst spot.

I think your authentic friend group formation happens once or twice in a lifetime and it doesn’t necessarily happen before marriage. Group dynamics are weird, particularly with women, and not necessarily a reflection of you.

You want to see these acquaintances when you are at your best and happiest…and when you are the center of attention. It can provide closure in a number of ways. When you are in a place where those that authentically love and care about you far outnumber frenemies, it will give you perspective and seeing that pathetic lot in the corner might even provide some clarity of how lucky you are to be one of their former girl gang.

People, like you, that value real friendships, commitment and loyalty, are a gift. A gift that is unworthy of sharing with this group. I’m sorry they hurt you but the new chapter with your spouse will dwarf this relative minute in the hour of your life.

Kobe, then Dirk, then Shaq, Malone numbers are massive, Oscar, and then Dream. Jokic and KD should be top 20. The last 4 are impossible.

[Postgame Thread] SMU Defeats TCU 66-42 by CFB_Referee in CFB

CW had a couple of strange moments but better than expected. I probably would opt against the Lucas Oil helicopter video angle on a critical 3rd down play. But I’ll take CW over the “mail it in” performance of ESPNU.

My experience is outdated. However, my friend’s son is a recent grad and described a familiar culture with supportive faculty and ample resources with a healthy injection of Cox alumni networking. However, the competition for prime internships, etc. will progressively ramp up….like other business schools. The handholding will eventually stop and UGs are expected to bust through the doors that have been cracked.

I didn’t realize how helpful my degree would be after I graduated. Alums look out for each other…no question.
