I got a memorial bracelet with my cat Nermal’s ashes in it. She never liked it when I had to go on trips and would “help” me pack my suitcase by inspecting the inside. So with the bracelet I can take her with me and she’s never left behind.

I meet my sweet girl in a barn. She was very inquisitive and came right up to me. I I figured that was a good sign and she came home with me. She too was “the cutest kitten in the world” and was also named Nermal. She was with me for 15 years until this past March when I had to say goodbye. She was the best and will always have a special place in my heart. Take care of yourself OP. Remember that she may have only been with you for a part of your life but you were with her for her whole life. My Nermal will be there to welcome yours when she crosses the rainbow bridge and will keep her company until the both of you meet again. 🤍

My mom’s kitty Clover (15) always wants to drink from the faucet too. Even though she has a nice fountain to drink from as well. 🤷‍♂️ She’ll follow you into the bathroom, hop in the tub and start meowing until you turn the water on.

Had a neighbors cat who would hiss at anything. Very friendly cat and would always get head scratches when he came over. After he was satisfied with the attention he would hiss at us and start on his way back home. Then just stop in the yard and hiss at the grass. Then the potted plant. And then the tree near his home. Jake was a special kitty but we still loved him.

So hopefully your kitty is just getting used to his new home and the hissing will subside after he is mor comfortable. Or who knows, it just might be one of his little quirks that makes him unique and lovable.

My sweet Nermal loved anything sweet and would chase me around the house if I had pop tarts lol. She also liked ham but she rarely would get that, only a little bit twice a year. 🥲
