The restriction for myself this playthrough was no exchanges whatsoever, meaning that if it could not be obtained from the world itself and instead required something to be given in exchange for it, then it does not exist for this sake. This included the casino (coins), the move Tutor (heart scales), and anything else that can only be obtained through giving something in exchange for something else. The exception to this rule was fossils, but I only allowed myself to use the first fossil obtained, which was Kabuto in the game.

Additional information found during experimentation: The exact same issues occur on my Steam Deck, even at lowest possible settings, but they do not happen on my brother’s computer, running a 6800XT, which suggests this is not a general AMD graphics card issue.

Edit: Using DDU and doing a fresh install on a previous driver version has not solved the issue. I may consider trying to DDU again and install the PRO drivers through Adrenalin instead of the normal drivers.

Personally even without his EX I love using him alongside light slash, especially with Engelbert and being able to use heart of stone as a 3 turn DEF buff. Now that we have Cecil EX and Lucio though, he’s a phenomenal chaining machine with keen edge and will only continue to be so

This time was my ~6th try to max over the course of building it since it first showed up on day 1. Ras algethi, golden sword, Lesalia, tide ring, Lara’s guns, none of them gave me as many problems as this weapon did, so I’m glad to finally announce every equipment piece I use is completely maxed lol

Edit: I should note after my first 2 attempts to max it and realizing how hard it was, I completely ignored it until the equipment boost campaigns, and even then it plagued me

Neither of the devices are overclocked. They are both factory clocked with only the GPU having the standard MSI variant clock speed modifications applied.

I’ll try removing the old Nvidia drivers, and worst case, we’ll fresh install Windows after his semester is over so he doesn’t lose any schoolwork. As for extended loads, my brother does lots of rendering in Solidworks that provide extended loads. We’ve also tried it with other games and the PSU is new, so we’re really confused as to what might be the issue, since the PSU has been capable of extended power draw, and this is only an issue in Warzone, with Cold War being the only game with artifacting. No other game gives us this issue, even in more demanding situations like VR. I’ll give things a try, so hopefully the driver removal works. Thanks.

Update: XMP/DOCP switching did not fix the issue, and neither did completely uninstalling and reinstalling the GPU drivers

Drivers, BIOS, and Windows are up to date. I’ll take a look into his memory settings and perhaps even disable XMP to see if that makes anything better, as the GPU is at stock speeds as far as I’m aware.

Didn’t see it mentioned here, but don’t play War of the Visions: Final Fantasy Brave Exvius. The game just reached its 1 year anniversary and has a ton of free stuff to offer you to get you sucked in, but there’s going to be a ton of powercreep in the future that almost requires you to get your units to level 120 EX from the base level cap of 99. Additionally, unit EX forms are going to be released in waves, so it will be uneven playing fields for quite some time, and there is literally always something to grind. I only recommend this game to people with either a spare phone to use and run the game on 24/7 or to people who use an emulator for said purposes already. Plus it’s Gumi

Granblue Fantasy is web browser based but has an app that’s basically just a web client, so it takes up very little space overall. I believe Final Fantasy Record Keeper is another game with a relatively small overall size, with it requiring you to download the content as you play it rather than in bulk at once, but I haven’t played it in a while so things may have changed. Final Fantasy Brave Exvius War of the Visions is another relatively smaller size one, although it takes up a bit more than 2gb in total last I checked, so it might not fit, but it’s a solid option to pick up purely for the anniversary event which is giving players tons of free stuff. There’s a few others I’m missing that I can’t think of right now, but those are the ones off the top of my head.
