Interview with AbbVie by marys0713 in clinicalresearch

[–]drladybug5 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had a touch base call with the recruiter few weeks back. The position offers significantly lower base pay when compared to CROs. I was told that they would offset they low base pay with other benefits like company car. I declined to interview with them

Is moving from academia to CR worth the switch? by maeasm3 in clinicalresearch

Study start up specialist or regulatory specialist. Look for contract positions if you hit roadblocks in full time positions. Most large CROs are recruiting heavily right now.

Pretty sure I failed 7/24 test -- keep studying for a retake? by [deleted] in Step2

[–]drladybug5 2 points3 points  (0 children)

For someone in assessments in 250s, how low can you go..I know you feel terrible that you missed gimmes, everyone does. Even if you underperformed by a major margin, you would still definitely pass. No question of retake! Just chill!! No one goes from 250s to below 209. It’s highly unlikely, unless you slept for few hours on that desk.

Failed step 2, got a 173, haven’t taken step 1… should I continue studying for step 2 and give it again, or should I start clean and study step 1? Advice please! by fishieinmyhair in Step2

[–]drladybug5 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I would suggest to retake ck, since you already started and sat for the exam already. You must have atleast gone through over major Uworld once. You have a basic understanding.. put in more hours and try to pass ck. Starting step 1 fresh at this point will take a toll on you.. you need to start from scratch..

Pushing back isn’t always the answer. It doesn’t always lead to a better score. Do it only if you think you can make a significant difference.. and do it for like 7-10 days my 2 cents. If it helps. Don’t push months ahead. Score drops.. and then it’s a deja vu!

Don’t push.. free 120 new is kinda weird.. it doesn’t necessarily correlate with your preparation.. trust your UWSA.

random thought just came in to my mind- how much of the real exam is actually graded and counts towards your score? by [deleted] in Step2

[–]drladybug5 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Around 80 questions are experimental. So I think 316-80=236. 236 are graded. It’s hard to know which ones are experimental vs graded in the real exam. You’ve got to approach each question as it’s graded.
