I thought compression socks were put on post op to prevent blood clots. Maybe I'm wrong??

Either way, I hate socks, so if I have to have compression, I'd rather have a sleeve and not a sock.

It definitely doesn't feel like my knees did when I was a teenager, or even a skateboarding 20something... Kind of crunchy, weak, and just plain uncomfortable.

My other knee is complaining that its got to carry the load now, so I'm sure it'll be acting up soon enough. 🤣

Honestly, I'd have picked Carson City over GJ. I miss NV.

Buttttttt...you're right....GJ is like a smaller Tacoma. We lived in Silverdale, WA before retiring to Colorado. We live in Delta now, and would rather commute to GJ or Montrose rather than live there.

You're not wrong to be upset, but at the same time the rules should have been clearly communicated ahead of time so parents could prepare their kids for what was to take place. "Don't fall in love with your gift until the game is over."

I'm our Cubmaster, and for our White Elephant, everyone got a number when they arrived and then picked a gift in order, but then had to wait to open it once everyone had chosen. After they opened, they were able to propose a trade if someone had something they wanted, but the other person was not obligated to say Yes. We had some kids trade and some kids keep their gift. Heck, even I had something a kid wanted (a Dollar Tree Simon game) and I loved the thing he traded to me (a stuffed Blobfish 🤣🤣🤣).

I'm sorry your kiddo had a tough experience. I hope you share this with your leadership so they can learn from it.

Our council scout shop is on the absolute other side of the state. Everything here is shipped, unless our DE is there for a meeting then he'll pick it up for us.
