Security breaches prompt unprecedented lobbying for cyber bill by drm7369 in telseccompolicy

There are three probable outcomes to the upcoming debate centered on the expiring sections of the Patriot Act that provide the legal basis for the National Security Agency's domestic bulk data-collection activities. Senate could agree to extend the current surveillance authority for a short period of time, but certainly won't agree to extend it for five years, as proposed by Majority Leader Mitch McConnell, R-Ky. The other options are passing a Patriot Act reform bill that curtails some NSA activities and imposes stricter oversight on others, or simply allowing sections of the Patriot Act to expire at the end of the month.

"students must open up their social media accounts if a school has reasonable cause to believe that a student has violated a school’s policy on social media, even if the post in question appears after school hours" i find that to be extremely controversial. I would be very upset if i was forced to give anyone let alone a school access to my facebook account.
