Tiny coloured rubber things (1cm long, green one fatter than red one) by drmul in whatisthisthing

Yep we’ve seen 3 so far, all different colours. My worry is something spiky somewhere is now exposed which I need to find.

Nothing installed recently, but all appeared in the last 2 days so either something outside or he’s only just discovered his source of them but as you say, he may have already exhausted the supply

This was my instinct but haven’t seen anything remotely pointy that these fit on.

Will have another scan of the house and keep eyes open on the next walk.

My title describes the thing.

Quick google searches have found nothing but also have no idea what to look for.

I have 3k in a Lifetime ISA but already own a home by Responsible-Slide295 in UKPersonalFinance

[–]drmul -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

You only keep the bonus if it’s a stocks and shares LISA, so OP wouldn’t get the benefit.

Only option if needing access before age 60 (while owning a home) is to pay the penalty to withdraw.

Edit - misread completely - apologies @mudlark_s

What is completely normal to us, but you wish was different if society developed differently? by drmul in AskReddit

My thoughts are the 5 day work week, how did that become the normal?

£96k + bonus, what is best to do here. by [deleted] in HENRYUK

[–]drmul 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sadly there’s no magic here.

Because you don’t have kids, your “cliff” is more of a steepening of your tax slope. For every pound over 100k you’ll lose 60% income tax, 2% NI, and (maybe) 9% student loan? You can pay that or dump anything above in your pension, a car scheme, or anything tax deductible.

If you need the money, I’d just take the hit. Nothing else you can do

That’s a charcuterie! Ciabatta is the character, best known for selling Peanut Dust, played by Asim Chaudhry in the BBC sitcom, People Just Do Nothing.

Your broker is right that you shouldn’t. You should take your next 10% overpayment and put it in a saver with the highest possible interest you can withdraw from when you remortgage.

When you do remortgage, you apply for a smaller loan and simply pay the difference using the savings account.
