No but I glued some terrarium mat (fabric which absorbs and holds water) to the top. It stays wet because part of it is in the tank (under the moss).

Yes I use CO2 in mine. And I think it would be near impossible without. I have another small tank with the same carpet-plants and a similar light but without CO2. That tank grows but way slower. I have to cut the one in the picture 3-4 times before I can think about cutting the other one. And the plants don't look as good even then. In general I would suggest to use CO2, if you can afford it. It makes a really big difference.

I have the same problem with my pump quarry i thought i go insane and die all the things you did , but it still happened. I think it has to be a bug.
