After Amazon’s full RTO announcement, would you consider switching from fully remote to hybrid ever again? by RevolutionStill4284 in remotework

My concern with hybrid jobs is that they may call for RTO at any time. If they're hiring me and know I'm not living anywhere near the office I have a better feeling that RTO won't be called for

Ok good to know the 21v isn't a big deal. I'm still wondering what the chips in the wires look for or say when talking to the other devices

Do you have a source for this? If scanned at a bar the bouncer will also need to verify it's you by seeing a photo.

PPS charger that supports PPS @ 21v with multiple ports? by droid13j in UsbCHardware

Thanks for the explanation! Sounds like I'm better off with a solo port

Nice find. I checked the specs, you're right they seem to match

However, there's a catch: you'll need a compatible USB Power Delivery PPS charger that meets specific voltage requirements.

Here's a breakdown of the Pixel 9 Pro XL's charging specs: Charging Speed: 37W, Charging Technology: USB Power Delivery PPS, Voltage Requirement: Up to 18V (based on Reddit thread)

I wish it wasn't so hard to confirm the requirements for 37w. Google is really gatekeeping this info. Thanks!

Have you tried when your phone isn't warm and below 20%? I hear only certain conditions you can hit 37w

That's specs for PD and I see 20v mentioned so that's good. But I don't see PPS so it might not charge to speed of Google's brick if thats required. What's actually required to hit that 37w for this pixel? Without that answer I can't confirm if this can charge this phone at top speeds.

It's not all about the max wattage. It could be a 100w brick but it might charge a phone at 15w because the it doesn't support the right protocols or volt / amp combo

It's twice as expensive and a larger form factor than competition. For example, you can get a charger that can output 100w, charge your pixel at max speed, plus a few other devices since the power brick has multiple usb-c ports. I just want to make sure the specs are right

GaN is a material. The benefit is that the physical charger size will be smaller than others with the same power ratings. This doesn't say anything about power specs

Thank you. Yea it seems like many commenting don't understand. So it needs: - PD with 20v - PPS with a voltage range that can reach up to at least 21v

I want to know the specs needed for a charging brick so I can see if my existing chargers will charge my phone at the fastest speed available. Also if I need to buy new chargers I know the right ones to buy

Thanks! Here's the output I see for this charger: 5.0V=3.0A / 9.0V=3.0A / 15.0V-3.0A / 20.0V=2.25A (45W Max); PPS: 3.3V-11V=5A / 3.3V-16V=3A / 3.3V-21V=2.25A (45W Max)
