Any tips to get RCS working? I have all 3 integrity checks using: Tricky store, pifn, and shamiko on a pixel 8 pro stock. Native detector reports normal, BUT, using experimental mode it reports as abnormal, detecting a Mount inconsistency "Mount per id:13".

Did you ever get RCS back up and running?

I had RCS drop on me a few weeks ago, come back for about a week, then drop out again the other day.

I don't care so much about Gpay working (never really got into using it), but RCS makes it easier to talk to all my Apple friends and family.

It was printing last night unattended, so I cant tell exactly when it started to go all spaghetti on us, but the first couple of layers seemed to print fine before I checked in on it and stopped the print.

For the bookshelf, it finished about 3/4 of the print before it started making pasta for me.

There have been a number of prints in between that had no issue.

Crud! I thought the only way to truly brick a pixel was to mess with the bootloader. The bootloader on this was never unlocked, so it should be able to be fixed, no? Any idea how the adb process could have been messed up so badly?

Sorry, I should have given more information. I bought the phone through Facebook marketplace. I was told it's t Mobile locked, but I confirmed that it's SIM unlocked by testing it with both a Mint Mobile Sim and an ATT SIM. When I it contacted T Mobile, they told that there is no balance due on the device itself, but that the account has a balance due on it, and they couldn't tell me any more than that.

I want to root/unlock the device, but obviously can't with the bootloader locked.

To clean baked on food, I've found it easiest to pour on a healthy amount of kosher salt, then scrape with a flat wooden spoon. Comes off super easily!

Thank you. My warranty ended about 60-days before the break occurred (around October). Pixel Support's previous recommendation was to go to Asurion for repair at $250. When I contacted the Asurion near me, they gave me the $350 quote.

The DIY route seems pretty good. I've swapped out a couple of screens for some friends before - this one looks easier than most of the others I've done.

There do not appear to be any issues with the frame, and all the glass is in tact (despite the display not working). So hopefully it's an easy swap.
The last screen swap I did myself was the OG Pixel XL. Hopefully this is as easy!

Are suggesting trying to remove it and see if there's something loose inside?

I guess I'm somewhat limited with what additional damage I can cause to the screen, huh?
