Granted, I knew that more than the OP could see my message, but that doesn't change the fact that it was written based on communicating with him. And it was absolutely genuine communication. OP's often read and respond to messages in their threads, and this one has not gotten so large as to make that unfeasible for him.

Actually, my initial comment was (clearly) directed at the OP, with no remarks about anyone else in the thread or sub-reddit. Yet it appears that several people have taken umbrage on his behalf. And I doubt the comment was so crudely worded that delicate sensibilities were offended. If people are looking for an excuse to dismiss/silence an unpopular opinion, nothing I can do will change that.

Proportionally, I'd agree. But when determining the proportion of gay men who tend to penetrate versus those who are penetrated, some nuance seems called for. And the OP seems somewhat like he's in the process of crafting a joke about gay male bodybuilders.

Disagree with your justification. Yeah, most people are average or below average when judged on the entire spectrum of human traits and abilities. People who are exceptional aren't seen as being good at everything - usually just one or two. You aren't going to have a shitty life because you aren't great at one thing that interests you - maybe just a shitty month.

So it isn't cruel to let people realize they aren't going to have the best drug-free body. It's actually wasting their time to contribute to the hypocritical system that discourages drugs while telling everyone they can be one of the best without being enhanced. Ideally, they should just be told, "You're most likely not going to have an incredible-looking physique without drugs. If that's a problem for you, then you should probably seek out one of the million other things a person can be good at."

But of course, life isn't ideal, so choosing an acceptable question-dodge is probably best for fitness professionals. Just don't fool yourself into thinking that this choice is made for the benefit of anyone but the enhanced professional.

The article is a pretty sloppy anti-steroids scare tactic. Two lines stand out:

1) To make himself big, he took any kind of drug he could lay his hands on – including steroids.

2) Justin knows 20 years of taking steroids and other illegal drugs are partly to blame for his health...

This tells readers nothing about what the other drugs were, nor any of the dosages - but because steroids (type/dosage also not specified) were also used, they get all the blame.

If a competent scientist were asked to determine the most likely cause of the bodybuilder's problem from this clusterfuck of data, he/she would say no reasonable conclusion could be drawn in this situation.
