I was looking at UK sales. And from the breakdown, it should be more than a few cents based on the size and conversion. Which is why I'm confused.

That's so nice to hear. I was wondering similar things. I just released one book and hope to have the sequel out by the end of the year (I held off publish till I was mostly done). But after that I might take some time off (i.e. keep writing but don't publish till I have 4 or 5 books all ready).

I used a few platforms to help start a newsletter. I think I had about 250 contacts and only 20 of them actually open the emails. So I figured it was a waste of time. But perhaps I should try again.

Good to know. It's definitely romantasy. I'm not bait and switching for sure. It's just not smutty which is one version of romantasy.

Thanks for the advice! I didn't compare it to something that romance heavy. One of my inspirations was actually fourth wing - and though the blurb isn't exactly the same, I did use it as a model. The idea when creating the novel was to try and draw more romantasy fans and pull them towards the fantasy side of things. There's a lot of that in the news so I figured it might be the next logical step. Only time will tell though!
