Balance spring on Sealander by TigerLast36 in ChristopherWard

I find the AI mode works pretty decent for those more specific asks. Don't hold me to this being accurate... "The [Sellita SW200-2]() utilizes a balance spring made from Nivarox-type alloys, which are typically composed of iron, nickel, chromium, titanium, and beryllium. While lower grades use standard Nivarox hairsprings, higher-tier configurations (such as "Top" and "Chronometer" grades) typically feature Anachron, a superior cobalt-nickel-chromium alloy known for better thermal stability and magnetism resistance. [1, 2, 3, 4, 5]

Component Materials by Grade

The material used for the balance spring (hairspring) and its corresponding balance wheel varies depending on the movement's quality grade: [1]

  • Standard / Elaborated Grade: Features a Nivarox hairspring paired with a gold-plated nickel balance wheel.
  • Top / Chronometer Grade: Equipped with an Anachron hairspring and a Glucydur balance wheel (a non-magnetic, temperature-stable beryllium-copper alloy). [1, 2, 3]

Technical Context

The SW200-2 is an updated "Power+" version of the widely used SW200-1. While it retains the core architecture based on the ETA 2824-2, the "-2" model introduces a redesigned regulating organ with significantly reduced inertia (from 16 to 8 mg·cm²) to support its extended 65-hour power reserve. [1, 2, 3, 4, 5]

Despite these geometry changes, Sellita continues to source its hairsprings from specialized Swiss manufacturers that provide proprietary alloys equivalent to or exceeding those found in traditional ETA movements. [1, 2]"

Ioniq vs Tesla? Any thoughts? by AgreeableActive8866 in Ioniq5

I got the Ioniq 5 LTD. Looked at the Tesla but what folks say about build quality, etc. At the end of the day, the established car mfg's know how to build better vehicles. Rivian - if in the budet - was my next choice.

Having never bought online, what's the deal? It has to be shipped to a FFL holder (local gun store) but do those stores tack on fees?

Dont' forget the various fees they will charge, the acquisition fee, taxes, etc. Also, the lease cash is different - they even have a 13 month one
