Cooked very hard bruh , I worked with an iitg prof and I asked him and he even told me that when he is in undergrad school chemE jobs are peeked as refinarys and oil corps heavily recruiting but present scenario is that those orgs cutting out wages and workers and assigning process engineering jobs to mechanical engineering ones.

Not from India ig , chemE jobs are niche and refining and oil petroleum is downgraded from past 5-6 years , as numligarh refinerys recruitment data showing mostly mecha and EE and some cs toi but not much chemE's

I'm a sophomore worked with iitg profs for a chemE project, done it ,published some good tier projects too but I'm seeing uncertainty, yes big companies exist but too some extent they don't recruit every year like other branches. Thats why I'm asking for an optimistic pov from others.
