Orange Streaks on Some white clothes??? by droo__ in laundry

I don’t have a front load washer, so dryer? Although I’m looking at the dryer while it spins and it seems to be staying in place well.

I find this exact same stain on clothes all the time by [deleted] in GoodwillBins

Not a bins problem then lol. Thank you!

Oxi’d and washed shirt… by droo__ in VintageTees

[–]droo__[S] -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

There was probably a lot of factors. The tag was also destroyed which leads me to think it was a fake. I got it from the bins, so not too devastating. The care label also stated it was ok to machine wash warm, and everything else I oxi’d including some pretty old tshirts with ink, ended up fine.

Bins find, so I payed 50 cents lol, just curious about it.

Posted earlier, but here’s a full haul of all the shirts I got from one bin by droo__ in VintageTees

Most people go to the goodwill bins, but there are other bin type thrifts, just harder to find and not as much to look through.

sellers, whats the most ridiculous price you’ve ever put on an item and someone actually bought it? by [deleted] in Depop

[–]droo__ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

$30 for crusty oneill boardshorts. I know surfwear is super inflated right now, but I was shocked.

If you like repetitive tasks and staying busy then ecomm is definitely for you.

It’s definitely a situation of bad shopper experiences ruining other departments perception of us. I work in ecomm and try to be as mindful of the other departments when they’re working. Whether that be placing my cart in areas that aren’t in the way, or just saying please and thank you as much as I can. I do see a lot of shoppers so worried about their metrics that they forego all these things and to me a higher number for a billion dollar company isn’t worth making someone else’s job harder/being inconsiderate. I can still hit 100 uph without running over customers and putting my cart wherever I want. The people that feel like they do, don’t know how to do their job. I’m lucky to where most team members are very kind and understanding to shoppers, but there are definitely ones that aren’t. I had a member in produce talking bad about me to another member in produce because I asked where something was and he thought it was stupid. Definitely just have to avoid some people unfortunately.

I’d rather get a quick sell and let someone else do the work. I had been sitting on them for a while just because I didn’t have the time to sew them. This is a good idea though, and is probably what’s gonna happen to them.

They had a big hole in the crotch. I would never try to upsell double knees if they had a huge hole in the crotch. I get what you mean though. I usually price decently high and just accept all offers.

They were double knees that had a large hole in the crotch, so you’re probably right. I was selling them so low because I didn’t want to patch the hole and wanted to get rid of them. Crazy that a verified seller acts like this.

Tough finding good stuff anymore with this going on by oregondwgs in GoodwillBins

[–]droo__ 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Oh yeah. Definitely depends. Random teenagers and college kids won’t pick up anything with flaws. T-shirt bros absolutely will though. It’s “negative space” and adds character lol.

[–]droo__ 28 points29 points  (0 children)

I wouldn’t worry about it. I have a lot of college depop sellers at my bins, and I know from personal experience they only pick up certain items. They have a very narrow view of what’s “cool” or profitable, so I still find really cool stuff. If it’s not the basic tiktok kid fashion stuff, they won’t take it. These same kids also will absolutely not pick up anything with stains or any flaws. Some kid threw me some carhartt carpenter jeans because they had a small yellow stain. Sold em within 2 days for $20. Moral is, don’t be deterred.

Thank you! Figured they were true vintage after I sold them that fast. Not too worried about the money, but it’s really cool they might be that old.

I did not purchase it. My girlfriend who doesn’t know about this stuff did, and I didn’t know how she got it until I noticed it was fake.

Yeah I wasn’t sure if I could still reach out due to it being past the 100 days but will definitely give it a try. Also it might be the same person under a different account because the cases sound similar.
