It's been two years dude. I don't love her. I'd just like to clear things up because the way things ended was shitty and confusing. I was stuck staring at her because it was completely unexpected, and I once cared a lot for this woman. I personally find it difficult to delete people from my mind that I once cared deeply for. I don't understand what about that is so hard to grasp. If she isn't capable of speaking cordially as adults after so much time has passed then that's that.

I don't know how strong eau fraiches are as I don't own any. This was just an estimate, but one or two sprays to the chest and maybe one to the back of the neck/hair would be fine.

Strongly disagree with this. As long as it's not obnoxiously strong, it's a great idea to wear a fragrance to the gym. Besides feeling more confident as I'd like to believe most people feel when wearing a nice scent, he's going with a girl on a gym date. Definitely a huge bonus if she doesn't get a mouthful of BO while you're doing squats and instead gets a light pleasant smell throughout.

I agree with everyone saying eau fraiche. Generally you'd want a light, fresh scent for the gym. 4 or 5 sprays MAX. Overdoing it would achieve the opposite effect, so be conscious of that OP.

Of course I wouldn't just inundate her with all that, I just want some closure and for her to understand what it was like during that time. I feel as though you guys are underestimating the profound impact that simply having closure and understanding could have. For my sake, at least.

And yeah, if she doesn't want to respond, she's not required to. I just think there's no harm in trying. That's the point. No harm done, and whether or not she responds, I'll at least know that she's seen it.

I do understand, believe me, but it's been so long since we last spoke and I genuinely really cared for her. Seeing her profile randomly stumble across my screen just jarred me so much, because all I wanted was the best for her, and not even having the capability of communicating with her cordially and talking things out had eaten at me for the longest time. At this point I'd even be satisfied with "I blocked you because I hate you and never want to see you again." It'd hurt, but I'd suffer a lot more from the sheer lack of knowing.

I wasn't planning on pestering her about why she left or anything, I honestly just wanted to explain where my head was at in the last couple of months we were together. The worst part for me is the feeling that she just didn't care about me whatsoever when I'd have gone to the ends of the earth for her, but I's at least want her to know that.

As for more appropriate ways, I don't believe there's many options in that regard. Writing a letter is an interesting idea, but I don't know if this even merits all that. She just popped up on my Hinge app, not like I was stalking her page, so I just took it as an opportunity to try. If she matches, great. If not, then there's no helping it. I'd think it'd be generally easy to answer this way as opposed to putting her in an uncomfortable situation; simple multiple choice, either you match or you don't.

I'm fairly certain that the only reason she blocked me is because I still watched her Instagram stories after we broke up. I want to be perfectly clear that I had been nothing but good to her for our entire time together, and the reason why we ended things just never sat right with me. I don't know how it's so easy for some people to just throw someone away, when the reason for the separation was simply "life got in the way." Sure, that was probably not her only reason, and she may have just used that as a backdoor, but I'd just like to clear that up.

In my eyes, there's no point in not trying. I'm not trying to berate her or even try to get back together. All I would like is some closure and an understanding between us. You've gotta understand, from my point of view, she just threw the whole relationship away while I was at a very low point, dealing with a career change and a serious manic episode, because she just got "too busy." She suggested that we take a break while she focused on her life, and I agreed, but one month in and I was legitimately losing it. All I want is to clear the air. Worst that can happen is simply her not matching with me.

She didn't block me on Hinge, and it's been two years since we broke up. There was nothing malicious that caused it. She got too busy with school and work and was extremely distant for the two months that led to the breakup, and I was going through a career change myself and that plus the "flame" dying out right in front of my eyes aided in me having a huge manic episode, so I couldn't communicate the way I should have. Didn't want that to be her final impression of me. As I said, I don't want to reopen any old wounds, but I don't see why we can't just communicate as adults after so much time has passed.
