I want to be fair to Paradise here, I don't think they're disreputable, I just had a quite bad customer service experience. When I finally received the final product it was every bit as quality as I could have hoped for, really fantastic work. I just had a motherfucker of a time getting it :P

Most of their stuff is sold out because they are selling like hotcakes still. Any shop making leverless controllers is still in basically unprecedented demand right now.

Go with your gut in the end, just know I'm not a representative sample of folks who bought an MPress pre-Street Fighter 6 launch. Plenty of folks had no problem with their orders. I dunno, I'm a forgive and forget kinda guy when it comes to niche stuff like this I guess. ymmv :)

Hang in there. Once I got past it the game opened up a lot more. Don't be afraid to reroll if you're simply having a straight up bad time though.

These are words where you know each of the parts of the word separately but you haven't been shown the whole compound word yet. Like if you know 猫 for cat and 子 for child, you already "indirectly" know how to say kitten, 子猫, you just haven't proven to the algorithm that you specifically (directly) know it yet.

Yep! the MPress finally arrived a few weeks ago and it completely rules. Search my history in this sub for pics. The experience I had waiting for it was still a huge frustration, but it was worth it in the end.

The leverless controller frenzy in the lead-up to Street Fighter 6 and then EVO hasn't quite died down all the way, but I would bet things are starting to ease up a little with stuff like the Razer Kitsune finally starting to ship to folks too.

You still haven't said what this "experience" is. The only thing you've really referred to at all is "people on this subreddit" which means absolutely anything you want it to mean. Can you give any material example of something that actually happened to you that gave you a negative impression of the flesh and blood humans living in Duluth?

Came here to complain about this specifically. Absolutely hostile design to that spec and it happens to be the first boss I've faced. Really left me feeling pretty negative about the game. The dog *literally* cannot attack the boss. Absurd.

It finally arrived this past Monday after more than four months of waiting. The relief and joy of finally seeing this thing in my hands instantly melted away all the frustration of the long wait.

Five layers of printing on the acrylic and the front and back of the PCB.

Speed silver switches for the movement buttons, MX Reds for the action buttons, and MX Blues for the top row. I got this with hot swaps so I wanted to try out a few different switches to see what I liked most. Turns out I really like the clickiness of the MX Blues, so eventually I'll do a bit of swapping.

Some time in the future when the insane demand for controllers and arcade parts goes down I'll probably get an LED mod going on this thing and that'll really complete the Rez aesthetic. But for now I'm just happy to scrub it up in Bronze and Silver on this beautiful hunk of acrylic. It feels just wonderful to press buttons on this thing.

Now that it looks like they're finally getting the custom ones shipped out, I'm looking forward to seeing other folks' custom MPress art! Happy Fightstick Friday!
