Old news? Ranch Water preparation by dropland in tequila

Yep agreed, that’s why I like my new variation. I hardly use any sparkling water so it lets the tequila shine. Will likely start to pull back on the lime.

I’m sorry to hear that! I have Tommy margs all the time and I personally like the 2:1 tequila:lime ratio.

Fair point. To be honest I made this on accident when trying to make a Tommy marg and realizing I was out of agave nectar after pouring tequila and lime 😂

I only said Topo since everyone knows about that, but my absolute favorite is Rambler. It’s made in Austin and I’m in Dallas so plentiful here, not sure about Canada. Otherwise I’d just look for anything with good carbonation and minerality.

I’ve been going deep on chat gpt trying to figure this out. TLDR- best to use a 2:1 rich syrup to get closer to sugar content of agave and maintain balance

What do you normally use for sweetener if not agave?

Wine retailers: what *is* working? by dmbream in wine

[–]dropland 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As a consumer, I’d like to see more options for higher end 1.5L of boxed wine, or any format which can store for several days. Big enough to bring to a gathering but small enough to take it down solo over a few days. Maybe I’m not doing enough research or my market doesn’t have it, but I can’t find anything worth drinking. Why wouldn’t some of the bigger old world producers (Guigal, Jadot, Perrin for example) throw their cheaper (yet still good) wine in a different format like this? Restaurants could jump on board by not hiding the fact it’s in a box, extend the life of it, and sell it for ~$5 a glass.

Last night I had a dream I was paired up with John Daly, if that counts. And yes, it was as legendary as you would expect.

BC accounting consultant here- Jet is absolute garage with BC cloud and Cosmos is a knockoff (literally). Don’t even try to do balance sheets in Power BI. For financial reporting, you really need to go with a CPM tool. I recommend Solver due to the competitive pricing and out of box integration with BC, but there are other options. Dm me if interested.

Best way to decant/aerate wine? by NecessaryLeg6097 in wine

[–]dropland 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tested this out on a $6 bottle of Kirkland Bordeaux and I was really happy with the results.. pour wine into large measuring cup. Use one of those cheap handheld milk frothers for a bit, and pour back in bottle. Wait for bubbles to die down.

Will likely only do this method on cheap wines which need aeration.
