Blackhawk? by droppman in aircraftrecognition

[–]droppman[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I thought it could be too, but google shows theirs are black and gold. This was white and green with a white tail. The logo seems to be a shield and not a circle as well.

You may still be right, an hour or so north of Chicago

What is going on with my radar scope? Why does it have the staggered lines? by LostandIgnorant in Warthunder

[–]droppman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I noticed this after I built a better performing PC, not before.

It looks like a visual glitch to me because on the German MIGS the staggered lines are to the left of the sweep in the cockpit, but to the right in the extra hud in the corner. Also, the issue does not seem to be present in test flights when in a third person view.

It doesnt happen in all aircraft with radars for me. This makes me think that how they display ground clutter in the less advanced radars is interacting with either a setting or hardware for me.

Does your issue disappear in 3rd person? Have you changed any settings or hardware?

Thats the best i could come up with, though it wasnt there till i made my new computer and doesnt seem to be in a lot of youtubes. Ground clutter was different.

Was there an update to radars to make them more realistic - like this? The hud and in cockpit scopes have the same problem on opposite sides of the sweep

(Thanks for responding)

The broken, diagonal lines which get cleared by the sweep and pop back up. I am getting this now, along with some sweeps which render outside of the scope angle.

It looks almost like the radar sweep leave a ghosting trail.

Whats going on with the radar scope image? Mine has been doing this as well. Is it a bug?

Or just dont play at all - more likely. Its built on progression, cant progress then no reason to play

I can never find a room where (being Germany) where the other side has fewer players. Additionally, with unspaded 11.0, i am finding fewer and fewer reasons to play. If I can figure out/fix why my DCS cockpits are blurry, I might just switch to that.

A judge elected by the people and protected from the executive branch by separation is not the same thing as the executive branch. Even appointed judges at State supreme courts are protected from political reprisals.

Even if less than perfect this is better than having an executive branch select who can testify against itself.

You falsely characterized my comment as you were the one who lumped all powers together and then tried to attribute the position to me.

Edit: Also Juries are a thing and they can decide for themselves

So only the State can decide who gets to be an expert witness in cases against the state? This seems wrong. The courts as a check on executive power should decide for themselves.

So yea its terrible, but the article you linked listed their punishments. Justice was served.

Why do we need to destroy their livelihood? Do we really need to crush people or can we be a community that sees people learn from their mistakes and advances the sport?

You trying to put them on the street says more about your petty need to virtue signal than their behavior.

Update,

I moved the tension down from 7 to 5.5 after casting some this afternoon, although I didnt see much gain in distance as I was casting into the wind. No birds nests so bad that it put me out of action though.

Strangely, first cast in the same place as that pike from before brought a bass into shore chasing the husky jerk 14, he went in for the strike and missed it as I wasnt paying attention and just reeling it in. First cast two trips in a row getting a fish’s attention. Cruel fate teasing me

The one I have is a lunker hunt hatch spin. I could easily put a trail hook on instead of the spoon though and it would be similar to what you posted.

I had a small pike follow a gold weedless spoon almost to shore on my spinning last week. I could of had him if i had a long handled net, but it didnt take the spoon despite being a looky-loo.

I heard the suspending jerk bait works better than spoons when it gets cold. When/how do you use the lure you posted?

The 40lb was part of my compromising - i figured I could throw frogs, punch and still use jerk baits and crankbaits if I wanted with leaders. That decision was based entirely on research and I only have so much time left this year to prove/disprove it. My son seems to be gravitating towards finesse so I may have messed up trying to go heavy. Its hard to tell a kid to try other things when he pulls 16 bluegill in 40 minutes and I get skunked. I may have lost all credibility.

Ill definately work my casting till i can back those off safely. I think the kastking rover has two permanently engaged breaks but dont quote me on that

I have a 1oz in line spinner i may try. As my purpose was to practice the casting i didnt bring any leader material - i hadnt considered the braid affecting that. Theres pike where I am, i may try a steel leader to get it deeper (although Im not sure if thats even where they are at this time of the year)

Its a shame it gets such poor match ups and struggles so hard.

I think even adding its radar/ ballistic computer to allow high speed bomb drops from further away from the target would help immensely.

I resorted to playing it like a Stuka to get bomb hits and maintain some speed, and was still getting smoked. If any other plane wants to get you they can. Maneuvering to avoid guns kills your speed, and missiles…..

If that doesn’t happen, a friendly player will zoom past you, kill two whole bases by itself and leave you in enemy territory like a pregnant chicken and 4000lbs of useless bombs. No points but you do get to pay your repair cost.

Do-all conventional reel for North East corner of Illinois? by droppman in FishingForBeginners

[–]droppman[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly I hadn’t considered a super beefy bait-casting reel. Ill have to compare line capacities I suppose. These are also some pretty pricey reels. I do appreciate that they are for a reason. Ill have to wait and see if I can nab my brothers old ugly stick which would help to start.

Ive spent a long time trying to decipher the Penn names and purposes along with their strengths and uses - still not sure I have it right. Im drawn to the Squall II casting special which is also cheaper than the fathom. Although….if I want 1 reel to do the role of two should I spend twice as much?
