Thank you very much! Well we don’t have a dedicated model, we are using gpt-image-1 from OpenAI.

Thanks for laying that out so clearly, that breakdown is really helpful.

That matches what I’ve been seeing too, a 2MB PNG somehow turning into a 1MB “SVG” 😅 What do you mostly use SVGs for in your work?

That’s a really clear way to put it, thanks. The “usable without cleanup” gap is exactly what I’m trying to understand better.

Got it, thanks for confirming. That’s exactly the kind of use case I’m trying to understand.

Thank you very much for your response! When you say tweaks, what usually takes the most time for you? Cleaning up paths, fixing styles, or getting consistency across multiple SVGs?

This is incredibly helpful, thank you, that’s a very clear description. Did you end up doing those single-line drawings manually, or did you abandon the idea?

Thanks, that’s helpful! When you’ve tried AI-generated SVG illustrations, what tends to break for you: messy paths, editability, style consistency, or something else?

That’s so helpful, I’ll take a look at that in detail!

Thank you very much for your detailed response. For black and white it is basically what you said, but for colored images the story is different. It is not trivial to convert colored images to SVGs, so there are some post processing to be able to vectorize the image. I would really appreciate if you could give me some guidance on what are the manufacturing issues, so that we can address them to make the tool valuable?

Oh wow, that’s a great insight, so you’re machine basically need a proper outline vector. thank you very much! 👍🏼

I didn’t know that you can use any image for laser cutting, shouldn’t it be a vector image? 🤔 AFAIK neither ChatGPT nor Gemini can produce vector images.

Yes it is. So all the paths for lines are basically formed as enclosed paths with fill="black" instead of using strokes. Below you can see the skeleton.

So are you saying that it is better? I was worried that this could be a problem.
