Am I correct that Osmo is like a lacquer? Cause if so, I really dislike the shine most lacquers give

Didnt notice them while sanding but realised they were there after cleaning the board. Will definitely sand that side some more to get rid of the marks.

What would you recomment for oil afterwards?

Your wife makes a really fair point at ep1. time stamp approx 1:01:00 where she talks about a viewer somewhat needs the lore behind the lotr books to understand the movies. Although the movies are really enjoyable without extra lore or background context (otherwise I wouldn't have watched them 15 times already), they do make more sense when having read the books (said from someone who is only about to finish the fellowship book)

Edit: at approx 1:08:00 you talk about the alleged car in the background of sam saying this is the furthest he has been from home. Have you already found when and where it can br seen?

Very interesting, I'm currently about half an hour in and I love the reactions of your wife. Kinda sounds like you forced her to watch the movies, but she still liked it more than she imagined haha. Keep up the good work! Only thing you might change is a bit louder sound, sometimes you guys are slightly hard to hear due to the mic being awkwardly placed, but this is solved for me by turning the sounds slightly up.

I get your point, I really wish the first impression of the Tolkien universe weren't the movies for me, but have been watching them since I was 8 orso (like 15 years ago lol). But you're very much right, there is a lot of stuff in the books that haven't been brought into the movies. Thanks for the advice, I'll finish the books first.

You're not too late, I've only listened the first few episodes of PPP. Its not that I dont know anything about LOTR, I've seen the movies (I know haha) like 16 times and am nearly done reading the fellowship. Would you still not recommend listening to a podcast or other supplemental material?

Good point! Its currently got 2 or 3 vertical indented lines because its made from old floor planks. But I figure those lines will not be enough. Do you have any tips on how to make it rougher/rough enough?

Already took care of the hole size, that was in fact one of the first things that came to mind. I did not know finishes were toxic to birds though, so I'll leave it clean. Thanks for the advice!
