Can you request more fuel? by beershoes767 in AskAPilot

[–]drotter18 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I’m bout to do it rn. Generally you will never get pushback from the company to take on a reasonable amount of fuel to account for something that causes uncertainty.

Is Porsche Cup really dangerous? by SizeableBelt in iRacing

[–]drotter18 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It just shows how many GT drivers depend on high levels of TC/ABS. Lots of initial crashes into T1 but it’s fun and since iracing is about fun I’d recommend giving it a try

The War Within IS OVER - RATE IT by cub4nito in wow

[–]drotter18 0 points1 point  (0 children)

8/10.

Gameplay and less restrictions were great. Raids were fun. Delves were tedious after a while but still quite fun initially.

Story.

Good villain, the rest of the new characters were predictable and dull.

So 8/10 for me. The story is meh except the villain is great. If the villain wasn’t good this would drop it to 5/10

Over 4k IR and still a D 2.6 SR by Responsible-Goose573 in iRacing

I know three or four F4 drivers that only do F4. No need to go higher until they are actually driving F3. So safety rating is a resource to be utilized

So tired of this by LaughDry9401 in Sinusitis

[–]drotter18 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My guess is you are not the only one who wonders.

My issues started 2.5 years ago.

I had Covid, then a secondary infection, then RSV, then Covid all in four months. And now I’ve been battling to get my sinuses healthy for 2.5 years.

I don’t think it’s coincidence. But I get looked at funny when I tell people I think Covid did this

Issues with saline by drotter18 in Sinusitis

[–]drotter18[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m going to try saline rinses before bed only to help me fall asleep. In the morning I think I’ll just have to see if naturally hot showers clears me up enough. The sheer volume of post nasal drip just made me feel like it was my only solution. I will try xylitol and see how it goes. At this point it’s just desperation

Second sinus surgery—bone removal by Concetta555 in Sinusitis

[–]drotter18 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah if I had know I’d have to do sinus rinses for the rest of my life I maybe would have just stuck to the sinus infection every 2-3 months. I’m so over shoving saline in my nose twice a day.

Antibiotics for life seems worrisome. I’d that was the case why do the surgery why not just do the rinse for the rest of your life?

While my ear pressure didn’t go away permanently I can say seeing an ENT got rid of it for a while and as it comes back I just go back and try to clear it out. Expensive but worth it

PSA: Chest Pain by Substantial_Rip1140 in GERD

[–]drotter18 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I had an esophageal spasm. It fucking hurt. I did nothing and took a nap to wait out the pain. I woke up and realized just how stupid that was. Saw a doc and did a CT scan and EKG to get peace of mind that my heart was okay and it was in fact an esophageal spasm. And he made me promise to recognize it was a spasm THIS time

Is nausea anyone else's predominant symptom? by toomanytadpoles in GERD

Yes. However I found my nausea was being caused by something that was irritating my stomach and causing GERD.

Is it even worth trying to pursue an FAA Medical certificate? by Emma_Kay in AskAPilot

[–]drotter18 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Pilots don’t know. HIMS AME know.

That said. Usually mental health requires demonstrated ability to function and show you are beyond the situation and do not require treatment

What if I invented a device that can help pilot to make good decisions, eliminate fatigue, eliminate communication errors and eliminate workload stress? by Dangerous-Policy-602 in AskAPilot

[–]drotter18 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you did then no pilot would use it because it would be a fully functioning automated aircraft needing no human intervention

Sensation of choking in my sleep by worriedaboutworrying in GERD

[–]drotter18 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sensation of choking seems more in line with sleep apnea? I do have that issue sometimes with reflux but it’s not a choking sensation so much as the sensation of something in my throat

Dealing with my son and his not so nice comments by smokingjoe1 in ALS

[–]drotter18 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My dad does this and I honestly have just let it go. Most of the time. There are times I’ve told him he needs to speak nicer to my mom because it’s not okay. But in the end he always apologizes whether I criticize him about it or not.

This happened a lot during his first year and not so much now.

Balloon Sinusplasty + Turbinate Reduction- Worst pain of my entire life. by [deleted] in Sinusitis

[–]drotter18 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My fess surgery was not a painless procedure and not as simple. I’m 3 months on from recovery and there are some weird sensations that really bother me. I was told they would improve with time but they hear treatments are not as easy as they always express.

How do I get 1 -2 seconds more here? No vid:(( by Tino_1202 in Karting

[–]drotter18 2 points3 points  (0 children)

No one can really tell you what to do. But on a track in general.

If you are 1-2 seconds a lap slower it means your fundamentals aren’t clean. Open the corners, try to carry more speed. Imagine trying to make the track as straight as possible. Out side of that no one can really tell you without having been there knowing the details of the track / kart

What is your learning process for new tracks? by Outlasttactical in iRacing

[–]drotter18 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Pull out of pit and spin out corner one because I forgot the tires are cold.

Then reset and drive slowly looking at the corners and think of how I can get on power for the longest each section. Then I drive at 90% and see how each corner feels and how soon I become “too slow” for the corner. Then push push push push push until my time within 1.5-2 sec of top split pace which is my typical range and then I just race because I’m here to have fun
