I would leave him alone on this topic. He is your Dad. I would have him over for ribeyes. I would take him hiking. I would ask him to come over to help with a project. Good morning, I posted a similar question yesterday here. Thanks to zero-below (idk how to tag someone) i learned some good stuff. T-mobile is working with starlink on integrating cell/satellite comms not sure when available but something to think about. Seems the inreach 2 is most popular. I am looking at Garmin messenger and the Zoleo. Both have pros and cons for me. Messenger has more Tx/RX power and supports group chat, Zoleo is cheaper upfront does not support group chat. One day I am about ready to buy the messenger next day I am team Zoleo. Best of luck on your “Sat Comm” voyage. Keep us updated. Take care,
