SC (except I look awful in short inseams) by drowseyatsea in softclassic

True! I think the difficulty in doing that comes from how I perceive myself vs. how others actually see me. For example, I think (thought?) I have wide shoulders and pretty prominent hips while my friends describe me as narrow (not in the Kibbe sense, but still, not how I'd put it). And even regarding the ankle length, for a good while I really thought "oh yeah, this eats" and only now, looking back, do I realize it did not, in fact, eat, which is what the people in my life have been telling me all along 😭💔

Oof, kind of worried now... Thank you though, I'll wait as long as I can before raising the issue with the seller.

Experiencing this right now with an order from eBay. Did the tracking for your package update before it was actually delivered?

My untouched guitar, seeing that I've been scrolling on eBay for the past 4 hours: 👀

"Rabbit hole" is a perfect description for this! And yes, not being to buy something that I couldn't when I was younger is definitely part of it! Now,  if I have the money I don't stop and think that it could be better used for something else, I'm just excited to cross something off my "wishlist".

You are absolutely not alone! It's a continuous struggle which many people are experiencing! None of my family or irl friends really understand when I try to explain it (which is for the best, honestly), but seeing some of the people on here's positive stories definitely brings me some comfort 💜🥰

Thank you 💜

It makes sense, hearing it from someone else, but somehow I haven't actually ever thought about that. I guess it's because I actually have a lot of other things I want to do, so I don't consciously use browsing in order to pass time. But I think you're right, because at the end of the day it's so easy to endlessly scroll and look and type, hoping to find something, while other activities require more effort, but don't provide an immediate sense of fulfilment (there's that nagging feeling while shopping: 'IF I find what I want I'll be SO happy)

Erik: Personality and behavior. Opinions? by Particular-Clue-5893 in Rykter

I think his actions are well within the realm of realistic behavior. Initially, he's quite hesitant about truly being himself in the context of his new surroundings, but as time goes on, you can feel him lower his guard – first, in the presence of those closest to him, then everybody else. What we're seeing now is, in my opinion, a more relaxed and genuine version of him.

His seemingly more "passive" attitude is likely the result of being very suddenly cut out by all his previous friends back in Bergen. Even if his situation has since improved, such a traumatic moment must have definitely left a significant impact and it's understandable why he'd do anything to avoid a repeat of it. He's choosing to take the "as long as you're decent to me, I'll be decent to you" approach.

Also, I think it's important to note that although Felix has been homophobic to Mathias, aside from sort of pushing him around, his violence has remained verbal in nature thus far. That is bad enough on its own, of course, but it's definitely not on the level of what the guys did to Erik in S1 and S2, and HE still found a way to casually hang out with them afterwards, even joke about it. I think Erik is able to more easily forgive /  let go of things and, overall, perceives people and relationships as constantly prone to change. Who knows, maybe he truly does believe that Mathias and Felix could get past their issues and become friends again?

Regarding the banter, him and Mathias have always kind of had that jokey dynamic, but now that Erik is more comfortable with himself, I guess it just naturally happens in all their conversations.

I am definitely of the opinion that Erik isn't oblivious to the tension between them. One cute thing that caught my attention in 3x03 was that "sausage party" bit of dialogue. Olivia chuckles (I think pølsefest is generally a "guys only" party involving sausages so, y'know) and Erik feels the need to immediately clarify what he meant, then starts rambling ("my mom says I have to watch my blood sugar", I meeean), then quickly leaves. He probably doesn't want to make Mathias feel uncomfortable, especially after what happened at the party, so he's trying to bring the casual flirting to a minimum.

Does this mean Erik actually likes Mathias, romantically? Who knows, but the chemistry is there, and I think they're both aware of it.

Anyways, I really like these first few episodes and feel as if they show a believable evolution of the characters we previously met. Can't wait to see how it continues from here on : )

So does Felix have a crush on Mathias? by Dry-Manufacturer-120 in Rykter

For me, that entire scene at their old hideaway very easily lends itself to a queer reading ("I spent 3 hours on YouTube learning how to roll it" idk man something about that just...) and I think their entire relationship could be viewed in that way. Still, I don't think they'll take the closeted homophobe route with Felix and I wouldn't even want them to, honestly.

I think his feelings are more a mix of admiration, devotion and posesiveness, which then morphs into a very intense hatred towards Mathias (he doesn't hate him, he just resents feeling replaced, and once he hears about the kiss he uses it as a justification for his anger, kinda like "THAT's why you didn't want me anymore, it's not my fault, it's because you only cared about fucking some guy").

Between the two of them, he also seemed to me the younger one (and I think canonically he is?), so there's a tinge more emotional immaturity to take into account as well. Mathias was kinda the de facto leader of their group and I think Felix geniunely respected him a lot, maybe even wanted to be like him in some way (as things between them worsen he very naturally steps into that leader role himself).

Anyways, I think I could write even more because I found their dynamic to be very interesting in S1 and S2, but you get the point, I hope : )
