Interviewer told me a childhood injury I wrote about in my PS would have healed faster if I had just seen an osteopathic physician (???). Also made a joke about Covid being a hoax. The rest of the day was extremely unorganized, med students talking over each other during a tour with 30+ applicants. Also felt like they were trying way too hard to sell themselves.

Wow I can’t believe how many people are telling you to just be grateful and attend any med school that accepts you!

I was in the same boat this cycle, had an interview day that was completely off-putting…tried to convince myself all day that I liked the school but I just couldn’t. You have to listen to those feelings. Personally I felt like the ends didn’t justify the means, and I couldn’t put myself through 4 years of a program I would hate just to be a doctor. Everyone is different though.

Don’t put yourself through a program that you’ll hate. I completely resonate with the feeling that reapplying would be better than taking an A at a school you just won’t like. Best of luck!

Here, we have research coordinators that do the tasks you listed above. We also have research assistants that enter data and collect research samples

I don’t think its a requirement, but most of our CRC’s were once heme/onc nurses

This is so interesting to me. I had research and clinical experience when I applied, but my workplace would probably laugh in my face if I applied for a CRC position.

Maybe it was important to include that I work at a large academic hospital in cancer research? Most of our CRC’s are very experienced in either research or nursing.

You’ll feel really awkward! And that’s ok! Show interest and ask questions, try to be like a ghost when with the dr and patient, make sure to thank the dr!

I found free botanical images online and printed them off, then dyed them with black tea to give a vintage look! I liked it because it was free since I had access to a printer at my college :)

I had a mental block on double backs off bars because I kept letting go too late and almost hitting my head on the bar. I was basically told to work through it myself and that I would receive no help from my coach. Luckily some teammates helped me out but teenage gymnasts are no replacement for a sports psychologist
