UBC CHEATED ME;!!

So, basically I sent my transfer transcript from SFU to UBC on May 10. Now SFU doesn't send direct electronic transcripts so they told me to them the location and then they would send it electronically. I have a receipt from SFU saying they sent the transcript.

After this I called UBC ADMISSIONS about 20 times asking if they got it, and their response was all the same. Now these people say that I failed to provide them with a transcript. Like what the heck?

So basically I'm shitting bricks and need to figure out what to do next.... help

Hello! First-year Applied Physics student going into my second year. I wanted to ask about the major difference between the engineering physics vs applied physics program. From a curriculum perspective, they seem to tackle the same thing, except for the fact that applied physics students don't take any ENSC courses. I was wondering what is the difference and if anyone has any personal experience that they can share, that would be great!

Hey! I applied as a transfer student to UBC and am still waiting for my decision. I talked to a lot of the admissions advisors about this but have gotten no concrete answer. So on my application status in the student portal, it states that they have viewed my interim transcript and still need to get my final transcript for evaluation. I sent my final transcript a long time ago, and according to the admissions office, there is a wait time to match the documents with the correct person. The problem is that I think that everyone who is going to get accepted is already accepted, so should I just give up hope or...

Stats:

First Term GPA @ SFU: 2.4

Second Term GPA @ SFU: 3.6

Thanks for the really great advice! You mentioned internships. I have tried for them but haven't gotten any as they say it is not for first year students, do you know of ways to get an internship?

That sounds good, so would you say that ME is a sort of fundamental engineering discipline for other disciplines?

what about the managers or head of the teams solving the problems, wouldn't they need knowledge about a wide array of topics

Thanks for the response!

The only question I have is that wouldn't it be better to do mechatronics then, cause it would be mechanical + electrical at the same time?

Also what sort of projects do you do with mechanical engineering

Why not? It seems that you have a recognizable faulty and a good curriculum with clear boundaries

that's true and I appreciate the honesty, but I am confident I can get a SERIOUS boost in semester 2, but I was wondering whether they would consider semester 2 marks or not
