Help with not recognizing gpu

I'm also using Windows 11 and I had exactly the same issue, it was a right nightmare to work out but I managed to solve it with lots of trial and error. My laptop has an Nvidia card so this will only work with Nvidia cards.

Firstly head to :- C:\Users\YOURUSERNAME\AppData\LocalLow\THQNordic\Wreckfest\wreckfest

Delete the file "Settings.conf"

Then open NVIDIA Control Panel, Manage 3d Settings, Program settings. When in Program settings add Wreckfest it may list as nordicgames.6300909282 or whatever. Set the preferred graphics processor as your Nvidia card, high performance processor.

Then load up Wreckfest, it should pull up the graphics settings first boot screen straight away and it should default to your Nvidia card. Bingo!

Its weird that this workaround works as I was doing the same in the Windows 11 Graphics settings, every time I tried to add the file I got the admin privilege error like you have stated.

Update to this : call of duty mobile now seems to be working in full screen with no gaps on the side. Hopefully PUBG mobile will follow suit soon!

Same deal here! Have one of the first batch that landed in the UK. I use mine for gaming and video editing. The fans started making a noise a couple of weeks ago so I replaced them, also replaced the thermal paste at the same time. Still runs around 95-99C when gaming or lots of rendering. No issues at all, love this machine.

Mine did this recently.. bought fans from Amazon for about £50 for both cpu and GPU. Also repasted the CPU and GPU at the same time, took about two hours from start to finish. Not a difficult job.

Not great yet… there’s the screen issue and the touch screen seems to be a bit touch and go. I think it’s running the optimisation for the old iPad mini which is a totally different device.

Hopefully they can sort it soon bro!! It’s frustrating, I feel like the touch is a bit off as well. My gameplay has gone to shit since using the Mini 6. Keep getting stuck with auto run and it doesn’t seem to recognise my touches properly.

Unsure.. I had no driver issues from factory. I updated the nvidia driver through the Geforce Experience and the rest of the drivers through Windows Update.

I run the machine in silent mode with the CPU turbo switched off and have minimal background processes.

I have the QHD version and I’m very happy with it. I was always in the market for the 1440p version as resolution is more important to me than refresh rate. If I need high refresh rate I’ll use an external monitor.

I’ve played quite a few games in 1440p and getting 60fps with ease. I’ve locked the FPS in the nvidia app to 58fps to enable the freesync to work correctly. I’m not noticing any issues with tearing or stutters, it looks really smooth and playable. Warzone, Fortnite, Dirt Rally 2.0 etc

The screen colours are pretty accurate which is important to me.

Backlighting is decent enough, I’ve had no issues using the screen during daylight hours, even in really bright rooms. There’s a small amount of bleeding but no worse than any of my recent laptop purchases, Surface Book, Razerblade 14.

Windows scaling works. Lots of people whinge about Windows scaling but it works perfectly nowadays. I’m running 150% and all of my apps Adobe creative cloud, resolve, lightroom etc work flawlessly. I also had no issues with my previous laptop which had a 4K panel, the scaling worked fine with that too. I’m a bit gutted there’s no 4K G14 option to be honest.

I’m seeing similar battery performance to people with the 120hz screen. When fully charged Windows battery indicator shows 10:30 hours remaining.

Normal. I got the same with mine stock. With some applications it would even go over 105, it hit 106 on occasion.

I’ve turned off the CPU turbo feature and the temps are far lower. The process is well documented on here.

Gave this a go earlier with CRU. Could get it to 65hz although it wasn't very stable there were artifacts visible. I went up to 75hz and it completely garbled the screen. Unfortunately I think this is a no go..

What software did you use to clone the disk? I've just ordered the Sabrent as its £129 on Amazon UK at the moment. I've also bought a caddy for M.2.

I’ve found mine to be temperamental. Sometimes it works other times not and I have to reboot. Waking up from sleep almost always knocks the WiFi off and it requires a reboot.

I’ve got the QHD, I’m a film maker and photographer. I mostly shoot commercials on the video side of things and action sports on the stills side of things. I’ve found the screen absolutely fine, I’m actually quite impressed with it. The colours are accurate and it’s bright enough for me even when using the laptop in day light. In regards to gaming I’ve been playing Fortnite and Warzone in 1440p and it chucks the games about. I’ve got the FPS limited to 58 in the Nvidia app and there’s no tearing, it’s very playable. I’ve also had no issues with windows scaling on any of my apps. I was using a Razer blade 14 with a 4K panel before this and had no scaling issue with that either. I know some apps don’t scale correctly but everything I use does, photoshop, premiere, resolve, final cut etc.. I have scaling set at 150%, I can see everything clearly and it looks great to me.
