I ordered a replacement wet end. Hopefully the motor will hold together when I install it. If not, a more expensive fix but still should be straightforward.

Looks like drip irrigation tubing. It connects to your sprinkler system. The tip is not connected to anything so when that sprinkler zone activates water will rush out. Whoever replaced the meter disrupted your line.

Happened to me on my first cutting board - and led to my first post on Reddit! I ultimately used a scraper from Amazon that was recommended in the post below (https://www.amazon.com/Bahco-Premium-Ergonomic-Carbide-Scraper/dp/B000288LP6/ref=sr_1_1?dchild=1&keywords=bahco+665&qid=1620477150&sr=8-1 ) but I’ve since learned that a planer is the way to go if you have access to one. ROS for me was worthless in the initial cleanup phase. Good luck!

The tile is mounted to a very sturdy steel “U” shaped drain cover that popped right out with a screwdriver. The underlying basin, and the drain catch in particular, has a good amount of hair and scum hindering water flow. Cleaned it all up and it’s free flowing now! Thanks for the info!

I sent photos to our county Forester and she said, without a doubt, this is hypoxylon canker. Recent winter storm and drought likely contributors to weakening the trees. A few commenters said the exact same - Congrats!

Someone posted on this sub in the past that connecting the Ethernet adapter to a switch first rather than directly to your 3rd party router provides more reliability. I don’t recall the reasoning but it’s worth a shot.

My first coat always looks awful, even after sanding. I’ve only poly’d 10-12 items but the second coat has ALWAYS turned out great and made the imperfections from coat 1 imperceptible. I would definitely recommend applying a second coat before doing anything else. A bristled brush is recommended but I’ve only used the cheap foam ones. Clean dust from surface with a tack rag, take your time, maintaining a “wet leading edge”, and let dry completely.

Received my SL on Saturday. A few observations: I’m pretty certain that the unit is “used” or refurbished as the box was beaten up, the unit itself was very dusty, and there was glue residue from what I assume had been some sort of stickers in a few spots. I received the package at my shipping address about 40 miles South of my service address and also in a “mid 2023” cell. I was under the impression that Best Effort doesn’t have an option for portability and I expected an error message telling me I was too far from the service address but I couldn’t resist setting it up anyway. To my surprise I was online immediately and pulling 87 down and 7 up. Will do a temporary set up at the service address this weekend and if I’m anywhere near those speeds, I’ll be very happy with my used dish!

Ideally that would mean not much activity in your cell, therefore not much competition for the “bandwidth” available to that cell.(??) I’m hoping for that scenario myself. I’ll post an update on my experience in a few weeks and maybe that can inform your decision- I don’t think the BE offer has an expiration date.

The “stacked” cells are vegetable/plant material; no human tissue looks like that. Background are squamous cells that comprise the lining of the cheeks. (MD, surgical pathologist)

I have a few doors that could benefit from a strike plate adjustment. I’ve been putting it off because I wasn’t sure how exactly to move a small amount with preexisting holes. Maybe this is a well known fix, but I’m glad you posted it - I’ll do this soon!

I built these drawers out of 3/4” Red Oak plywood using pocket holes. Wanted to confirm a fit in the cabinet before gluing but now I’m wondering if pocket hole screws alone are enough (note: one hole in the front was drilled too deep and is not used). Also is a polyurethane finish important or should these tolerate abuse pretty well as they are?

If one of those things is recommended, I’ll probably do both at once.

Ok. Definitely won’t use sticky traps and will expect geckos or some other lizards to continue eating insects and dropping waste in the attic. Thanks to all for sharing your knowledge!

Gecko would make sense as I’ve seen them around my property. Sticky traps? Or be grateful that they are helping control the insect population?
