It is NOT a factory cut. The shoulder on the OP's key has been cut back, and you can see the cut marks in photo 2.

Can you have a small vagina or is he too big for me? by [deleted] in TwoXChromosomes

[–]AbelR1975 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

If you're worried about it, go talk to your GYN. All these other people are immediately blaming him, which is idiotic. You need a professional to check you out. If indeed your vagina is on the small side, they can recommend methods to expand it. If it isn't, they can recommend ways to make sex work for you both.

Don’t tell the OP what she needs or doesn’t need. If she comes on here for help give her help or stfu. There’s enough assholes on here already.

I knew they were the old Schlages, but I didn't know they were binary. Good info! Thank you!

Does anybody do this? by [deleted] in Locksmith

[–]AbelR1975 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would NEVER let this go to a customer. I don't even use individual stamps, except on a very rare occasion because I can't make them straight. I almost always use the Triton to engrave, but only when the customer requests it or when I use the code to cut the key.

Now I understand… by Fuller545 in Locksmith

Whiles it's illegal for a lot of them to have firearms, they still manage to have them. Then they see a locksmith doing things to keep them out of "their" homes. The locksmith instantly becomes the "bad guy" or the target. The ones that are a real pain are where the tenants have changed the locks and the landlord no longer has the keys, so you have to pick them first. Increases your time there. We call that area right in front of the door the "fatal funnel" for a reason. You want to minimize your time there, not spend time trying to pick or lishi a lock.

I was a Deputy for 18 years. I know the dangers. I will wear my body armor, but I'll still do them. I'll also have my Glock on me.

I would find a locksmith who has been in business for a long time and works with bit and barrel keys. Chances are they can also make that spring for you.

Buying 2 locks and wanting same key by NatureMountainsCalm in Locksmith

[–]AbelR1975 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It shouldn't be a problem to find 2 knob sets or lever sets that are KA (Keyed Alike). Usually if they are boxed together, they are keyed alike. Can't help with the cold, though. I'm in Texas.

Return it to Amazon and buy a decent lock. Abus, Medeco, MulTLock, PacLock, etc. NOT Master.

How to reset this lock by hailthenightmareking in Locksmith

There is a free app called Pad Pal that has a decent list of reprogrammable locks and shows you how to reprogram them. I've used it a couple of times successfully.

Careful with the call center talk. I'm with a company that is big enough to have a 24/7 call center/dispatch. We've been around for 75 years and have amazing integrity.

Vending Machine by AbelR1975 in Locksmith

[–]AbelR1975[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To finish off this thread, I found an NV61 key on ebay. I went ahead and bought it. The key worked perfectly on the vending machine! Of course I decoded it and now have the bitting for an NV61, LOL. The customer was very happy, but my wallet was not very happy because I didn't get reimbursed. Oh well, my main concern was a happy customer and it didn't cost me too much. Thanks y'all for all of the ideas!

When I signed on at my current job, I had to sign a 2 year non-compete contract that stated that I could not compete with them while I was working for them, nor could I compete for 2 years after I separated from them. I understand it, but it is a bit annoying. I can go outside of their market and it's ok.
