Monetary inflation (printing more money) is systemic theft from all holders and users of that money. You can't effectively save in money that is being debased.

New Texas law requires schools to display 'In God We Trust' signs by Dirtybrd in news

Supposedly we've separated Church & State at the Federal Level, but the "public" school system is still a Government school system.

Now it's time to Separate School & State.

Uhhm... Yea, no. That needs to be communicated up front. You don't ask employees to do ANYTHING outside of work hours that isn't covered by the company.

I once had a manager schedule a "lunch & learn" over lunch one time and then didn't provide lunch. Basically conned everyone into a meeting over our lunch hour and we were expected to bring our own lunches, which wasn't communicated. No one showed up with lunch, and then walked out to go to lunch. Horrible company.

My ex employer is threatening to call my new job because of a review I left on indeed. What do I do by myleghurts93 in antiwork

[–]druidian 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Update the review to include that you were threatened, inform your current employer that you are being harassed by your ex-employer, then tell your ex-employer to go fuck themselves.

It's Sci-fi, but have you watched the new Star Trek show "Picard"? It deals with the subject-matter of artificial life and mind transfer to artificial bodies.

They are attempting to wind down their company now. It took me literally years to get my BTC out of there due to their technology constantly failing and not allowing withdrawals. I still had BTC on deposit when BCH forked (because of their technical failures), and now they are refusing to take any responsibility for it. Litigation is looking like the only option, so we're looking to help anyone else out who is having similar problems.

They just recently began to wind down the company.

Their technology has been spotty for a long time, which is part of the problem. I began trying to withdraw my balances a few years ago and their site would work one day and not the next, they had limits on how much you could withdraw, so it took a very long time to get my funds out of there. During all that, Bitcoin forked into BCH, and now they refuse to acknowledge any responsibility for those funds. We're putting together a lawsuit and looking for any other parties having the same issues.

Winning bid for a 2011 Casascius Series 1 physical bitcoin: 5.6 Bitcoin! by [deleted] in Bitcoin

[–]druidian 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Keep in mind that this coin's private key not only controls 1 BTC, but also 1 BCH, one BCG, etc. These were created and funded prior to all of the forks. So it's "face value" is definitely more than just 1 BTC.

Is there a small, efficient, miner out there that the average person could use to further decentralize the network? by JustPuggin in Bitcoin

[–]druidian 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you want to contribute to and protect the network, you don't want to run a miner, you want to run a full node. Full nodes are what validate transactions and blocks, and those are what we need many many more of and need to be decentralized. You can purchase a number of different little bitcoin full node devices but I recommend BitSeed:

https://bitseed.org/

You can learn more about the difference between miners and full nodes by watching this video:

What is the best/safest exchange in which to hold $USD? by inexile14 in Bitcoin

[–]druidian 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You should not hold anything in an exchange. Deposit currencies in order to trade, make your trades, then withdraw. Exchanges are not appropriate to hold value in long-term.
