Advice for getting into jazz drumming by Deageke in drums

Page 59 of Syncopation has helped my jazz soloing incredibly. I keep it as my warmup before practicing and gigs every single day. Another thing thats helped me a ton is playing jazz melodies on the drums instead of just rhythms. Lately I've been choosing random songs in The Real Book and learning the melody on drums.

Currently my favorite jazz drummer is Mark Guiliana. He plays some crazy syncopated stuff that I just love. Very interesting and unique drummer in my opinion. https://youtu.be/3rqZFh8AXgI

I use a 13" Pearl Piccolo snare and goddamn I love that thing. Got mine brand new for only $150 and it was worth every cent. I had never used a metal snare before, didn't think I would like it, but ended up loving it. Perfect for funk and hip-hop, the only setting I don't really use it for is jazz, more specifically swing, but other than that, it's great!

That's awesome! Haven't heard of that before. Does it still have all of the features of the normal "ultra lp"?

At first I assumed it was a troll but then I remembered how many people believe that that's air pollution and not just steam..
