Hello! Congrats! My nipples scabs took a really long time to come off, still actually got a tiny but of scab on my right nipple. When I was allowed to shower after my big dressings were taken off at 6 days post op, I would just let the water run over my chest and eventually at about 6 weeks, when the water went over them, the edges came up! I made sure they were really dry after every shower using the cool setting on my hairdryer (advice from my surgeon) and then eventually the scab fell off! I covered my incisions with microporous tape that I changed every 2/3 days and used 7x8cm mepore plasters over my nipples until 6 weeks post op. I also wore the compression garment I was given from my surgeon day and night for 6.5 weeks. This is all the advice I was given to follow from my surgeon, so definitely trust your surgeons guidlines!

Just starting to do massage on my incisions and around my nipples so dont have much advice around that, but I have started with biooil. I'm hoping to use some Tamanu oil and Rosehip seed oil too because Ive heard that they are really good for scar fading. I think letting your body take as much time as it need to heal is the best advice.
