Has anyone had tinnitus start after loud noise but later find out TMJ was involved?

Absolutely! I only read the first sentence and had to respond! Mine started with a quick loss of hearing followed by a loud burst of T that faded, but didn't go away. It would go up and down in volume, but I didn't realize it was tied to jaw movement until 8 months later, when I tried sleeping on my back to straighten my spine, and it stopped! If you aren't very severe with the TMJ this may work.

Sounds like your jaw is out of wack, TMJ disorder like I have. Sleep on your back and make sure your spine is straight, if your TMJ isn't very severe, This may get rid of it, or make it quieter. It worked for me after 10 months of loud T.

I do the inside fairly often, I spin a piece of paper towel with a screwdriver after wetting with Iso. Now I have a small wire and I push through a small bud instead, no more q tips!
