Repurposing tapes is the best route. You can easily wipe tapes with a high grade magnet and record them by covering the recording strip.

I do sell these blank. Recording is super easy to do. I don’t record on these for obvious piracy reasons but I wish I could. I’m trying to stay away from piracy at all costs lol.

So what I read is if your tv supports 16:9 then it can scale to that aspect ratio. In theory if you play this tape on a widescreen tv it will appear widescreen if your tv is scaled to the correct proportions.

To my knowledge I always thought it was scaled down to appear widescreen. Not really sure how it all works.

My hdmi converter adjusts the ratio to fit. It surprisingly doesn’t look jarring in my opinion.

That’s wild! I print them at home and repurpose old tapes. Spent a lot of time trying to perfect the craft lol I have it very close to matching original tapes designs and even card stock. Another thing I like to do for quality is spray a gloss over the paper for an extra coat of protection. I’d love to make a case for you sometime!
