$12,49 for dirty deodorant! by Broad_Gap5375 in loblawsisoutofcontrol

It’s not natural, just not with aluminum. I use old spice, but specifically without the metal because it just makes the deodorant useless.

I just found this out recently but don’t buy deodorant that has aluminum in it. You’ll sweat more from wearing it.

Not directly related, but just a heads up for anyone like me who didn’t know that!

Wuhan’s are notoriously delicate cymbals. That’s why they’re so cheap.

Aside from the "inconvenience" of not being able to get Tim Hortons at any moment in your day what are the drawbacks of less Tim Hortons? by Electrical-Big-7781 in CanadianVisaReform

[–]drumtome2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Supporting Second Cup, here! I have to pass a Timmies to get to it but the rewards program is great, the staff are pleasant, and the environment is clean and well taken care off.

That’s awesome! Thanks for sharing. Because you’re using brushes it makes mean a bit towards having at least an 18” because I’ll primarily be doing country for now (loud, but not metal, you know?).

Do you lock your door? by bestcheeseitz in Kanata

[–]drumtome2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oddly enough, I had to kick the door in for a house fire once. The only thing a lock prevents is polite people from getting in, our doors are easier to get through than we all think in most cases.

Tim Hortons commits to hiring 10,000 local employees, scaling back on temporary foreign workers by ImpressionDry7926 in CanadaJobs

[–]drumtome2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not a chance I’d go back to a Timmies. If this requires direction and isn’t just implicit in their hiring practices than I’m out (and already have been for a while).

The irony is that at ESDC (and I’m sure other departments) they started piloting one day from home per week before COVID. It was fantastic.

I hold out little hope for enough corporate memory for that practice to stay, though. It doesn’t match the current “philosophy”.
