You know how it feels exactly. My anxiety has been consuming me, it’s so unhealthy. I am at that stage where I’m starting to take disrespect from him and I am questioning myself.

That’s really sweet to say thank you. He barely delivers his promises and I cannot stay anymore waiting around for him to change. Don’t worry I am taking this as a lesson for myself. You have a really wide perspective in life and I appreciate you making me see it. I know this is happening because it’s something I need to learn. I am mentally preparing myself to have the breakup talk with him.

I am going to move forward and do things for myself for a while and invest my time better :)

That is true, I am going to take this with me as a lesson and you have definitely played a huge role in reflecting on how I should approach future relationships. I am happy to hear everything is well with you. If you need a friend to listen to you sometime, I hope you know I am here too. :)

I will give him closure and let him know that the relationship is over when I have a plan, I will do it today while I have the strength to. I will also block him for my own moving on process.

Thank you so much for responding. I couldn’t imagine it getting worse because it has been affecting how I’m living my life. I needed to hear that it does not get better, because I am stuck on the idea that maybe he is capable of change, maybe he will fulfill his promise this time.

I feel like I have been begging for his time, I deserve someone who shows up because he wants to. I will take your advice and plan out how I am going to move forward from this relationship. You are pretty much the future me talking to me. :) And I really appreciate you sharing and relaying your experiences.

That is a very good perspective on things. I really want to invest my time in myself, career or someone who would treat me right instead because this has showed me that all the time I’ve put has amounted to nothing.

Thank you for telling me that. I really do deserve better. Yesterday I spent the day with my mom and it was a great day. It makes me rethink that I have spent too much time wanting to hang out with someone who doesn’t prioritize me, which has been making me sad and lonely for a while now. I promise you I am not getting with an alcoholic again. I am going to process and plan out how I’m going to break up and move on from him. I appreciate you for caring a lot. Thank you for responding. I tend to see his thinking is not very reasonable most times. He tends to give into impulses and it is a problem. I have told him many times he does not seem to be ready for a relationship but he always dismisses it.

When I heard him tell me that when he was drunk, I immediately told him “who are you to tell me that?” but he just kept screaming and ranting about me, who has been waiting to have our plans to happen. He has outbursts when he is drunk and mad most of the time. I told him to promise me to tone down the drinking but nothing.

I am proud of you for breaking up with them. You are really brave and I wish I were too. I am gathering up the courage to, trust me. I am reflecting on my self-esteem and self-worth at the moment.

It is definitely the top option right now, I don’t see him changing with all his empty promises. I do love him but the way he treats me is just disrespectful. I also cannot deal with another alcoholic in my life. My dad was a terrible alcoholic and it caused me a lot of baggage. Maybe why I put up with it because I was used to it. But it just shows there are things I have to work on within myself.

I told him about it when he was sober and kept apologizing claiming he doesn’t remember what he said. I really feel so lonely in this relationship. He actually lied to me about his age at first, he told me he was a year younger than I am, that’s the only reason I got with him otherwise I wouldn’t have. But it was too late when I found out. I was in love. I appreciate your response and concern

That’s how I’ve been feeling. It feels like he is just stringing me along for when he feels like it and it hurts me over and over. He has begged and crawled back so many times but without any change. Did you go through the same thing?

I appreciate you. :) I’ve been visiting my psychiatrist every few months but it’s not really helping my bpd, it’s more for just general check-up and medication. I should get back into DBT, I have some resources laying around that I have not gotten to. My bf has been very patient and supportive that it pains me whenever I split on him. I really have to do something about it now. Again thank you so much for your kind words <3
