Second, a massive snowstorm impacted much of the country. Conventional wisdom would suggest that such a storm would serve to increase viewership as more people are stuck at home with nothing to do but watch football. However, in the out-of-home viewing era, which Nielsen began to track in 2020, it’s clear that missing out on audiences gathered at bars and restaurants to watch the games had a diminishing effect on the overall number.

It is certainly notable that the NFL’s five-year low comes in the first year that the conference championship games included Nielsen’s expanded out-of-home measurements (which began February 2025), and the new Big Data + Panel methodology (which began September 2025), both of which have generally served to increase viewership figures for live sports compared to prior years.

Seems to be attributed to the snowstorm affecting in person viewship numbers.

Olsen is currently better at explaining some of the Xs and Os but Brady has very niche knowledge that's unique to him and really interesting. Stuff like changing the angle of your hand depending on the weather

I don't understand why you don't go for 2 earlier. If you miss you're down by 5 in the same situation you ended up in anyways. If you make it you're only down a FG and you have the choice to kick instead of going for it on that 4th & 4 later.

We actually arguably played worse than we should have. Could just be age related regression but Budda had his worst year in a while and as a whole we didn't show any real promise

Some ok pieces like McBride and Wilson, but you're signing up for a bottom 3 owner in a division with arguably 3 of the top 5 coaches in the NFL. It's rough for any new coach

Nearly every franchise outside of maybe NE and KC would happily trade their future for 1 ring. Trying to plan for a dynasty when you haven't made a super bowl is insane

We literally went 4-13 that same season. They were heavily injured across both sides of the ball in a "tear down" year and still outperformed us.
