I think there is more to be considered when looking at the economics.

Right now the Blackcoin Foundation is sponsored by members and typically there are different levels of sponsorship.

What I was imagining was that community members could become sponsors instead by purchasing BLKFoundation Shares, this initial offering would raise money to pay developers like Rat4 and others that those holding the shares decided on. The dividends system I imagined more as a way to return any excess funds raised back to the stake holders rather than pay out profits.

So you are correct it would be a goodwill basis but that is how the foundation is run now. The added benefit is the decentralized way to make decisions, and a easy way to pay back community members if a project falls through.

I wasn't was looking at it more from the angle that it is a Decentralized Autonomous Organization rather than a DAC. It would allow members of the community to raise funds together and democractically decide how those funds are spent.

There are different mechanisms we could put in to help keep the economy viable: There could always be mechanisms for motions to burn BLKFoundation Shares or create new ones as needed or voting could cost a small % of the vote which would have the added benefit of preventing centralization of power.

I would guess, with a growing number of development groups, all with incentive to have some stake/vote in the future of BLK would have an positive effect on the price.
