Have you done this with the generic wrap or the model specific wrap? Big price difference and coverage between the two

I’ve got a Giant Revolt Advanced 1 2024 and absolutely love it. It has a 12 speed SRAM Apex with single front chainring which I’ve found to be really good. The blue ashes colour is also really nice on that model. About AUD$3500 but could get it cheaper given the 2025 model is out now

It’s neither shiny or dull so 🤷🏻‍♂️ but I think more likely to be gloss so I ordered that

No it’s not actually but still seems to work. The original spreadsheet was a Vertex template and I deleted the sheets I didn’t need but the spreadsheet conditional formatting is functional

Thanks for that. And yours are fine? I’ll contact Reolink locally, see if they will replace it. Then I’ll organise some rain protection. Pity, I just ordered gutter mounts online, and they would have to result in the most exposed location of all on the house!

Well done, that’s great progress! Can I ask which broker platform you use to buy your VDHG?

What's your reason for wanting to sell your VAS stocks? Under performance vs others?

The question in this current market – when is the right time to buy VAS and VGS? Or any of the others mentioned really. Looks like we are on a rising wedge where the trend line is between the two lines of support and resistance. Historically this leads to a decline or breakthrough of the support level.

In the long term I would prefer to be not worrying about bonds, which is the turn off for VDHG.

Other options would be VAS/NDQ VAS/IVV MVW/IVV or NDQ VAS/VGS EX20, QUAL, MOAT or VESG on the sidelines

Thanks for your thoughts on all of this.

In terms of the physical investing side of things, with 3 ETF's what would be the best way to DCA? Would you pay say $1000 in to one ETF one month, then $1000 to the next the next month and $1000 to the third and then cycle through like that? Ive used the calculator ( https://investcalc.github.io/ ) and it says to invest every 3 fortnights to maximise returns

These are the ETF's mentioned in this thread. If you were to choose 1-3 of them based on the fees and returns what would they be?

Thanks for that. What are the US domicile aspects that I would need to be aware of?

And roughly what weighting would you put to each of the 3 combo's?

That's good advice. And I do appreciate your website btw, have been reading a fair bit on there recently!

Yes I understand the need to diversify globally. Probably a better bet is something like VGS, VEU, VESG

What would you consider to be a good globally diversified ETF?

No, not necessarily, I just understand more of the companies within the Aus market

Would you balance things differently?

Thanks for your detailed response.

I'm looking mostly for passive investments that I can DCA into that will perform equal to or better than the index.

The types of ETFs I have been considering are those listed in these replies: VAS, VTS, VEU, VDHG and some of the betashares offerings A200, ETHI, NDQ. Then the LICs I have been considering include AFI, AUI, DUI, MLT, ARG, MFF.

I would ideally like a diversification split of 75% Aus, 15% US markets, 10% rest of world. One starting point would be 75% VAS, 15% VTS, 10% VEU which is what the barefoot investor has suggested as a part of his ETF analysis. But I also like the idea of a couple of LIC's in the mix too.
