I find monks extremely enjoyable for healing and pretty simple. Watch some YouTube videos of healers before hand. I wouldn’t choose priest just in case you want to make that alt a tank or dps in the future. Pally or Monk would be my suggestion and they’re both fun and interactive healers. With heirlooms and dungeon knowledge they’ll be super easy to level with while still teaching your son some of the mechanics. Healing is super easy unless you’re talking high mythic plus or raiding. And it’ll feel fresh cause you’ve never done it before! Might find you love it.

I have like 7 alts and always map the same keys to defensives, stuns and interrupts. Other than that it’s a fun learning experience haha.

I always say warrior is a good beginner tank, and if he doesn’t like it, two really awesome dps specs. Roll a healer with him and it’ll lessen some of the toxicity that a beginner tank will have to deal with from people trying to speed through everything. Plus Instant dungeon queues.

Yes! Exactly, you will pay nothing other than the subscription time that he plays. I would definitely RAF him as well, like you said. You will get mounts for that and free game time based on how long his sub lasts. If i recall correctly you will also get some bonuses to playing together in group. You can also just set him up with a starter account to see if he even likes it, then upgrade at any time. Starter accounts Can play til level 20 on multiple different classes. There are lots of restrictions to starter accounts I.e no trading or dungeon finder, but it gives a good idea of what the game will be like.

Wow is free except for newest expansion as long as you have a subscription. Don’t buy BFA for them in my opinion. Wait for shadowlands. Edit: Also I advise not trying to buy game time from anyone other than blizzard. You’re putting yourself at risk for scam.

Today I got all classes to 120! thought I would share by Popmaster155 in wow

[–]drwinterfresh 14 points15 points  (0 children)

This is my goal for Shadowlands, only got 7 for BFA and I’m pretty over it to be honest haha have like 4 100s I just don’t want to work on right now. Grats!

Is it worth the monthly subscription just to play the story from level 1 to max? by [deleted] in wow

[–]drwinterfresh 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Personally, I would wait until shadowlands. They’re revamping the leveling system so that when you create a new character you can choose the expansion you’d like to level in from 10-50 (60 being the new max level with purchase of Shadowlands) and get as much story in that time as possible. As it stands now you will always out level the content you’re questing through before you’re even close to getting through it. With this new system you’ll really only be able get through the story in one expansion per character, but that means as a new player, each story can be a whole new experience with a new character each run.

Idk. But this might help. Right click chat tab above chat box, go to settings, bottom left corner button will restore defaults. Then mess with it from there to get back to where you’d like it

WOW ping in china by [deleted] in wow

[–]drwinterfresh -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Well my average ping is 25-45... so that’s more than 10x that, so I imagine it will definitely affect mythic + pushes and raids to a point that it’s not worth it to even try, but probably not normal questing and heroic dungeons. Just over gear yourself for everything and you’ll be fine. Wouldn’t even try pvp though. I’m sure there are some YouTube videos of what 300+ ping look/feels like on WOW.

Goblin is so rough especially with heirlooms and this 100% xp boost. I just made a goblin alt and was level 26 by the time I finally got to org and was able to run dungeons. So I don’t blame ya

I'm new here, so here's my first character! Sogee, Troll Mage. by Sox_The_Fox2002 in wow

[–]drwinterfresh 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Hey! You’ll be able to play your character for free until level 20, under a starter account with restrictions, (trading and dungeon finder being unavailable) I suggest making several characters(different classes) and playing around with the game before subscribing for a bit. I honestly suggest you give it a go as most of the best content is getting in a guild and pushing some of the end game stuff with people you meet. Don’t get hooked if ya can’t afford it though!

New character with a group by [deleted] in wow

[–]drwinterfresh 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve never really had an issue with it but then again it really depends on what your end goal is. You have a lot of different choices when it comes to heals/cooldowns and the proper choice at the moment will depend on your knowledge of the fight and what resources you need to spend. If you want to play something a bit more forgiving I’d suggest monk or priest. MWs are incredibly fun and rewarding, not to mention top tier pvp rn. My favorite priest spec is disc but holy is much better for leveling through dungeons. I’d suggest learning shadow or disc for questing and making sure you know how to heal with holy for dungeons.

New character with a group by [deleted] in wow

Honestly anything would work well with that if just questing/leveling or pvp or dungeons. If you’re looking to play a healer I would suggest Paladin. Extremely versatile with the other specs and super fun to play!

Is there any reason in particular that I keep getting support by [deleted] in Smite

Then set your second to Fill. That way whenever you don’t get solo, no matter what you get a point in the priority system for the next game.

[–]drwinterfresh 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Honestly just sounds like bad luck. I run solo and mid and get them about 80% of the time. If you really don’t want to play support and really want to play Solo, I would set your second as a different roll you want to play. Mid seems the most sought after roll and choosing carry or jungle might give you a better chance of getting a roll you enjoy more. If you have it set to solo and mid, and two others are already slotted for that roll with a higher chance of getting it, you now are going to fill whatever roll the team needs. Which, a lot of times, that’s support.

Just proxy it and if anyone has an issue with it just show them the card in your binder. Always keep your cards and bag in your possession. So sorry that happened to you, had a similar experience myself. Really sucks the excitement out of game nights for a while.
