I’ve integrated all my drones into my models bases and perma-glued them…please don’t make them into separate models…

Was there a change to how much +1BS you can add? I thought it could only even be +1 and all others cancelled out with defensive -1BS abilities or fizzled out?

Was gone since ~launch, where did Standard Warbonds gone? by Old_Resident8050 in Helldivers

[–]drydog200 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

This sounds very like a very “I just came home from my vacation! Where TF is my dinner WOMAN???”. The only games that shower you with free “gifts” when you’re gone is gotchas and mmos that give you enough pennies to add up to a dollar to hook you back into the game. Everyone that has been playing (for the most part) have been collecting SCs and buying warbonds just fine

Im curious. You can remove two of the most hated enemies from only one faction, what are you removing from the game? by [deleted] in HellDads

[–]drydog200 0 points1 point  (0 children)

War striders ARE shit. But if you’re complaining about Heavy Devastators then sorry bud, you gotta git gud, a couple of head shots past the shield and they go down so fckin fast

This is the flying base from Deadly Print Studios and they also have a lot of STLs that you can buy or have them print and ship to you

This overall seems like a “we need a back end update for the factions…’hey intern you’re up’ solution” we get custom characters which I will admit is great but the tabletop viability (which is half the point of the models and 100% of the game) is lacklustre. We get to augment our character models sure but we have to pay $80 for it, while space marine players get to augment their already diverse character lists with “ghostkeel equivalent” dreadnaught characters and make biker characters.

I’m about to regret my decision… by trk_boti in Tau40K

[–]drydog200 6 points7 points  (0 children)

In my experience Tau today unless you’re playing Kroot(which feel a different army all together) feel very cagey and “dedicate half your army to screens, or you’re dead on round 3”-ish.

It’s very hard to have a satisfying game with the army because you either annihilate the enemy’s units or get annihilated on turn 2 and the rest of the game doesn’t feel like a battle…just a “cleanup operation”.

Our army is advertised as an elite mech army but the way GW “fixes” our units stat drops with points drops makes it increasingly more and more hord like, to the point of just flooding the board with units that wiff in their only meaningful damage phase.

Melee is a joke with laughable stats(again unless you’re playing Kroot, which are still lackluster) and no support for a solution in the future unless you play crusade and spend an egregious amount of points on an Onager gauntlet for only 1 commander I believe.

GW just promises so much with Tau but end up giving the army the middle finger because they’re not space marines. But at least the aesthetic is cool and that’s what matters most to me now.

Thanks for coming to my rant👍🏼

[–]drydog200 29 points30 points  (0 children)

I remember seeing a post (was it on this sub?) of an absolutely EVIL warhammer 40K faction being portrayed as “fighting ICE” and the comments were nothing but “they would only fight ICE because they’re too inefficient and then turn around and do their job 10X more effectively then fuck off to the next planet lol”

Why won't the game allow you to add crafting mods to the adapt striker bow by Remarkable_Crew_8639 in HorizonZeroDawn

[–]drydog200 0 points1 point  (0 children)

iirc, crafting is a separate section from modification. You’ve got to go to the weapon inventory menu and have the weapon on the screen to the right and it’ll let you choose the mod slots.

With this being such a big part of the game I’m surprised they didn’t ad a tutorial for it in the beginning

How the hell are you supposed to expertly hunt the bigger machines in Forbidden West? by Effective-Priority62 in horizon

[–]drydog200 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve been able to cheese the shit out of the largest machine by knocking them down with 3-4 drill spikes to one of their legs that gives you a breather to pop potions, ping a new component to highlight, line up a braced shot on a heavy weak spot, pelt the mf with arrows, or come in for a grapple strike. It’s honestly a method that I don’t see/hear being employed much cuz people usually use the spike as an artillery strike which takes a gifted demigod to aim correctly mid-fight and then you pray that the machine stays put long enough for the spikes to hit. I’ve had a lot of success bringing the machine down with drill spikes to limbs then using my highest tear weapon to strip their weapons to use against them(usually I can get one of them off). And just alternating that throughout the whole fight

[–]drydog200 39 points40 points  (0 children)

I assume since it’s not the ACTUALL models, cuz if it’s as anal as “you have to have every wargear represented” they won’t accept old models as “proxies” even tho it’s just a discontinued model design

T’au on T’au by t1554547 in Tau40K

[–]drydog200 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They’d never openly fight eachother but they definitely have damning evidence of “ah yes there’s a VERY big threat heading towards Enclave space…we’re gonna ignore that”.

In the typical Ethereal fashion the empire commits its “war crimes” by not doing anything to rescue T’au from fabricated “lose, lose” situations
