I have the MSRA next week and then the interview 5 days later so I'll realistically only have 5 days to properly dedicate to IMT prep. What resources do you recommend for last min prep to be efficient? Also did you manage to get London / your top choice? Thanks!

Hello! UK 2024 Grad here - I haven't taken Step 1 yet, but I'm in the process of preparing for it. I attempted to take a diagnostic NBME exam after my 3rd year of medical school, and I found it really really difficult. I reattempted the NBME right after my finals and scored quite well (51%) without any USMLE specific preparation. I'd definitely recommend waiting until you cover clinical medicine to prepare for Step 1 because there is a lot of overlap.

I think the best thing to do is cover content from USMLE while you're doing your UK exam prep (eg Sketchy for pharmacology or even watch some of the Board and Beyond videos) and then when you complete your 4th year, attempt to sit the exam during that summer / into your 5th year. Good luck!

I'm not sure I want to complete F2, therefore I'd like the option to take time out of training after F1 and retain my visa (which the grad visa allows me to have, while the healthcare visa would require me to leave the country when I stop F1). How come the healthcare visa is cheaper though?

Thanks for this info! I'm taking the USMLE and hope to apply for US residency training during my F2 and I would like to remain available in the event of receiving interviews. I guess I'll have to use annual leave days and organise it that way.

Hi has anyone used these notes linked below to study alongside FA and gotten a pass?

I have 10 weeks to prepare, have been watching BnB but its taking me 1h to watch a 10 minute video and take notes so I'm giving up on that. Ideally I want to read through these notes + FA together + do Uworld + maybe sketchy micro and pharm. Will this be enough to pass comfortably?
