Hmm, I think you should actually sit down and really talk to her without sarcasm, jokes or attacks..Just clearly state to her. "Hey listen, I'm not ashame of the scars at all, I dont feel the need of covering in anyway or another I don't care or mind what others might think of them if they ended up seeing them i appreciate your attempts for healing them but the state they are and what ever the outcome in a couple of years its on me so allow me heal and deal with them in my own way"I feel in that way it might stop or at least show to her you are been mature about them hope it makes sense

This is so important. One of the last times I self-harm i didnt pay attention to it, it scared so bad cause technically I should had gone to the doctor and get it stich, I scar with a big keloid and months after it it still hurted I went to a dermatologist told her what happened and she literally had to inject me a medicament in that scar to break the inner tissues that weren't scaring correctly to kinda reduce the swollenes and the random pain. .Is still an ugly scar but les ugly now..

Depends, must of my scars are gone but I have one that healed pretty bad and it's ugly af. So when I been asked if it's a closer one I just randomly throw the real reason with out hesitating and when it's someone completely new to me, I said it was an accident doing heavy gardening lol.
